The cover and/or housing can be plastic. The cover can include a bottom plate having inlet ports and an outlet port. The bottom plate can be reinforced with an optionally metal reinforcing plate that registers and locks relative to the bottom plate via locking elements, in the form of corresponding apertures and projections or tabs that interfit with one another. A related method is provided.
LIQUID FILTER EQUIPPED WITH AN ANTI-LEAKAGE VALVE
The invention relates to a liquid filter (6, 12), preferably a fuel filter, for a vehicle, said filter comprising a filter head (36) delimiting an inlet port (19) and an outlet port (21), a filter housing (30) which is to be screwed below the filter head (36) and which contains a filter element (32) centred on a central axis (X38), said filter element including a filter medium (38), a top end plate (42) and a bottom end plate (40). The filter housing (30) delimits a first volume for receiving a flow of liquid to be filtered, said first volume being delimited radially around the filter medium (38) and communicating with the inlet port (19) and a second volume for receiving a flow of filtered liquid, said second volume being delimited radially inside the filter medium (38) and communicating with the outlet port (21). The filter head (36) includes an anti-leakage valve (50) comprising a closing element (52) that is movable between a closed position in which it closes off the inlet port (19) and an open position in which the liquid can flow through the inlet port (19) and the filter (6, 12) further includes a pin (54) that is fitted on the filter element (32) and that is configured to penetrate inside the inlet port (19) so as to move the closing element (52) from the closed position to the open position.
WATER FILTER
A filter cartridge includes a removable filter. The filter cartridge includes housing that connects to a manifold at one end and has a removable cover at another end. The removable cover is held onto the housing by a removable connector. When one desires to change the filter, the cartridge is disconnected from the manifold, the removable connector is removed, then the removable cover is removed, and then the removable filter is replaced. Next, the removable cover is put back on, then the connector is connected, and the cartridge is reconnected to the manifold.
FILTER ARRANGEMENTS FOR LIQUIDS AND METHODS OF USE
A filter cartridge has media construction, a housing, and a first end construction. The first end constructions includes an outer radial wall with circumferentially spaced connecting sections; each connecting section having a plurality of helical profiles extending at a helix angle. The filter cartridge is removably attached to a filter head, which has mating connecting segments. A bowl cartridge assembly is also provided including connecting sections with a plurality of helical profiles.
Treatment device for treating fluids, in particular liquid fluids, and treatment element of treatment device
A filter device for treating fluids, in particular for filtering fluids such as fuel, oil, or water, has a housing (56) with a housing pot (58), a housing cover (60), at least one inlet (88) for the fluid to be treated, and at least one outlet (82) for the treated fluid. A connecting head (12) has at least one feed (16) for the fluid to be treated and connectable to the at least one inlet (88), and/or at least one discharge (18). The connecting head (12) and the treatment element (14) can be connected to each other by means of a releasable bayonet-type connecting device (34) through the execution of a rotational/plug-in movement about a connecting axis (20) of the treatment device (10).
Filter device
A filter device may include a filter housing with a filter housing pot and a cover screwable onto the filter housing pot, and an annular filter element arranged in the filter housing and having an axially protruding pin for closing a run-off channel. The annular filter element may be connected to the cover via a first thread, which may have a dome protruding centrally and axially from an upper end disc of the annular filter element. The first thread may be designed running counter to a second thread arranged between the filter housing pot and the cover.
Filter element and filter assembly
A filter element has a first follower element with a first traction surface and a second follower element with a second traction surface provided for interacting with first and second mating surfaces of the filter housing, respectively. The first and second traction surfaces interact with the first and second mating surfaces to pull out the filter element from the filter housing. The first and second traction surfaces are spaced apart from each other along a longitudinal axis of the filter element and project radially into the interior of the filter element. At least one of the first and second follower elements has a stop surface adjoining circumferentially the respective traction surface. In a position of use, the stop surface interacts with a counter stop surface of the filter housing to form an at least unidirectional rotational degree of freedom blocking about the longitudinal axis relative to the filter housing.
Methods for removal and replacement of a filter element cartridge including an attachment member
A filter assembly includes a canister housing closable by a lid and containing a removable and replaceable filter element cartridge. The lid is part of the filter element cartridge and a single unitary component therewith, such that removal of the filter element cartridge also removes the lid, and replacement of the filter element cartridge also replaces the lid.
WATER FILTER
A water filter is provided. The water filter includes a filtration material and a filter housing spaced for accommodating at least a portion of the filtration material therein. The water filter also includes a housing cap coupled to an upper end of the filter housing for enclosing the filtration material within the water filter. The housing cap includes an upper portion, a lower portion, and a channel formed through the upper portion and the lower portion. The water filter also includes an interface adapter accommodated in the channel, wherein the interface adapter includes a side wall vertically extending from an upper surface of the interface adapter and partially around a perimeter of the upper surface, and a projection vertically extending from the upper surface, wherein the projection is integrally formed with the upper surface and a portion of the side wall.
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL FILTRATION APPARATUS AND METHOD
A multi-functional water filtration apparatus includes an outer housing defining a receptacle for receiving a filter assembly and having an inlet port at a first end for intake of unfiltered water and being open at a second end.
