The multi-functional composition of matter may include a fixed carbon sorbent and minerals, halogens in the form of halide salts, as well as other physical and chemical properties to enhance (1) the oxidation reaction kinetics for the oxidation of mercury species and (2) the mass diffusion kinetics of the mercury species.

METHOD TO SELECTIVELY REMOVE HYDROGEN SULFIDE FROM A GAS STREAM USING A FUNCTIONALIZED CROSS-LINKED MACROPOROUS POLYMER

A process is disclosed for the removal of hydrogen sulfide (H.sub.2S) from natural. This process provides for passing a natural gas feedstream comprising H.sub.2S though a regenerable adsorbent media which adsorbs H.sub.2S to provide an H.sub.2S-lean natural gas product and H.sub.2S. The regenerable adsorbent media of the present invention is a tertiary amine functionalized cross-linked macroporous polymeric adsorbent media.

DAC MATERIALS

Method for separating gaseous carbon dioxide from air, in particular from ambient atmospheric air (1), by cyclic adsorption/desorption using a sorbent material (3), wherein said sorbent material (3) is a solid inorganic or organic, non-polymeric or polymeric support material functionalized on the surface with amino functionalities capable of reversibly binding carbon dioxide, with a specific BET surface area, preferably measured by nitrogen adsorption, in the range of 1-20 m2/g.

REGENERABLE VOC FILTERS WITH IMPROVED SELECTIVITY AND EFFICACY

The present invention relates, inter alia, to the use of porous crystalline solids constituted of a metal-organic framework (MOF) for the selective adsorption of aldehyde volatile organic compounds.

The MOF solids of the present invention can be used for the improved purification of dry or humid air, and for the manufacture of regenerable filters for air purification, particularly leak-free regenerable air filters.

Multi-stage PSA process to remove contaminant gases from raw methane streams

A multi-stage process to remove contaminant gases from raw methane streams is provided. The present technology is an innovative solution to recover and purify biogas by use of a process having at least two pressure swing adsorption stages. Taking advantage of the presence of carbon dioxide in the raw biogas streams, nitrogen and oxygen are bulky removed in the first stage, using selective adsorbents, and a nitrogen and oxygen-depleted intermediate stream is yielded to the second stage. The second stage employs an adsorbent or adsorbents to selectively remove carbon dioxide and trace amounts of remaining nitrogen and oxygen, thus producing a purer methane stream that meets pipeline and natural gas specifications.

Material, filter, and device for removing contaminant

A material for removing a contaminant, the material including an adsorption material for adsorption of a contaminant and a decomposition material for decomposition of a contaminant, wherein the adsorption material and the decomposition material are complexed with each other, and a contaminant decomposition onset temperature of the decomposition material is equal to or lower than a contaminant desorption onset temperature of the adsorption material.
