Ambient air purifying device and use of a filter element in an ambient air purifying device
An ambient air purifying device has a blower housing with air inlet and air outlet. In the blower housing, a flow generating device is arranged generating an air flow from air inlet to air outlet. Between air inlet and air outlet, a filter device is arranged with filter elements arranged relative to each other in a V shape. The blower housing has a servicing door through which the blower housing interior is accessible. The filter device has a filter element support held at the blower housing and supporting the filter elements. The filter element support is pivotably supported about an axis at the blower housing. The filter element support is transferrable from an operating state, in which it is completely inside the blower housing, into a servicing state, in which it projects at least partially through the servicing door from the blower housing, by pivoting about the axis.
Systems and methods for cleaning particulate filters
A method for cleaning a particulate matter filter is discussed. The particulate filter can include an inlet and an outlet, where the outlet includes openings to a plurality of outlet channels, and the inlet includes openings to a plurality of inlet channels. The outlet channels and the inlet channels are separated by a filer barrier. A fluid nozzle is positioned in contact with the outlet of the particulate filter over a first set of outlet channels. Fluid form the fluid nozzle is injected into the first set of outlet channels. While injecting the fluid, the position of the fluid nozzle is changed such that the fluid nozzle is positioned over a second set of outlet channels.
Compressor system and filter housing
A compressor system includes a compression module having an inlet for receiving air; and a filter housing in fluid communication with the compression module. The filter housing is constructed to house a filter, the filter having a sealing feature disposed at a first end of the filter and having an engagement feature disposed at a second end of the filter opposite the first end. The filter housing includes a trap door constructed to contact the engagement feature, and constructed to drive the engagement feature in a direction parallel to an axis of the filter toward the sealing feature and urge the sealing feature into sealing engagement with the filter housing.
Filter device and fixing means comprising a filter device of this type
A filter for use at an airflow opening of bellows of a shock absorber. The filter device includes a filter body through which a gas, in particular air, can flow in in the direction of an air inflow direction and out in the direction of an air outflow direction. The airflow opening is a joint air inlet and air outlet opening. A fastening means is disclosed that is fitted with a filter, in particular a fastening ring fitted therewith, for fastening bellows to a shock absorber.
DYNAMIC AIR FILTRATION
A filter section of a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a plurality of filters arranged in series relative to a flow path of air through the filter section. The plurality of filters includes at least one movable filter transformable between an extended position arranged within the flow path of air and a retracted position removed from the flow path of air. At least one movement mechanism is operably coupled to the at least one movable filter to transform the at least one movable filter between the extended position and the retracted position.
AUTOMATIC AIR-SAMPLING AND PNEUMATIC TRANSPORT SYSTEM WITH BALL-FILTER HOPPER AND INTEGRATED SAMPLING MANIFOLD
Embodiments of the invention can sample particulates, aerosols, vapors, and/or biological components of ambient air utilizing spherical air-sampling filters. Components of the embodiments may include a storage magazine for holding a plurality of spherical air-sampling filters, an air-sampling manifold configured to deliver an air-sampling filter from the storage magazine to a sampling location, and an air compressor to perform an air sampling operation and to transport a used air-sampling filter away from the sampling location. Operation of some embodiments may begin by rotating a slotted drum within the air-sampling manifold to deliver an air-sampling filter from the storage magazine to the sampling position. Operation may continue by using the air compressor to draw air from an ambient environment through the air-sampling filter. After sampling is complete, the air compressor may be utilized to pneumatically transport the used air-sampling filter away from the sampling position to a filter retrieval location via a transport tube. These operations can be pre-programmed locally or triggered by remote communication. Operation may continue uninterrupted due to a plurality of unused air-sampling filters retained in the storage manifold. Because operations can be triggered remotely and air samples are autonomously transported off site, embodiments of this invention eliminate unnecessary risks to human health created by other air-sampling devices, which require an operator to be present at a potentially hazardous sampling site to activate the device or retrieve air samples. Embodiments of the invention can be installed pre-emptively to eliminate risks to human health created when an operator must deliver a portable air-sampling device to a potentially contaminated sampling site. Furthermore, embodiments of the invention allow rapid retrieval of air samples following sample collection, which can expedite analysis and identification of aerosols and consequently help minimize human exposure to potentially dangerous and life-threatening chemical and biological contaminants.
