BULK FILL SYSTEM WITH SERIAL FLUID FILTRATION ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF USING SAME FOR AUTOMATED AIR TRANSFER
Embodiments of a fluid filtration system constructed in accordance with principles of the present disclosure can be used to automatically condition the single use filter for efficient use thereof. For example, in embodiments, the fluid filtration system can include a filter conditioning program containing at least one of a filter priming module, a filter flushing module, and a filter pressurizing module.
FLUID FILTRATION SYSTEM WITH SINGLE USE FILTER AND INTEGRATED INTEGRITY TEST DEVICE AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A fluid filtration system includes a single use filter removably mounted to a cabinet of a workstation. The upstream end of the single use filter is in fluid communication with a pump via a fluid supply conduit that includes a test junction. An integrity test device is supported by the cabinet and is in fluid communication with the upstream end of the single use filter via a test conduit fluidly connected to the single use filter via the test junction of the fluid supply conduit. The integrity test device adapted to be connected to a source of pressurized gas and to selectively direct a flow of pressurized gas through the test conduit and the single use filter to perform a test operation on the single use filter.
FLUID FILTRATION SYSTEM WITH SINGLE USE FILTER AND METHOD OF USING SAME FOR AUTOMATED FILTER CONDITIONING
Systems for utilizing crossflow filtration for cell enrichment
A disposable cell enrichment kit includes a crossflow filtration device configured to be disposed along a main loop pathway and to receive a process volume containing a biological sample and utilize crossflow filtration, via a micro-porous membrane, to retain a specific cell population in a retentate from the process volume and to remove a permeate including certain biological components from the process volume. The crossflow filtration device includes a laminated filtration unit that includes the micro-porous membrane, a first mating portion, a second mating portion, and a membrane support. The membrane support includes a first plurality of structural features that define a first plurality of openings, wherein the first plurality of structural features are coupled to the micro-porous membrane and provide support to the micro-porous membrane, and the first plurality of openings allow the permeate to flow through them after crossing the micro-porous membrane.
Automated modular filtration system
An automated modular filtration system, particularly for low volume tangential flow filtration processes, comprises a plurality of filtration modules formed as separate assemblies and at least one control unit for jointly controlling filtration processes of individual filtration units. Each filtration module contains at least one individual filtration unit for executing a filtration process independent of the other filtration units, first input ports for receiving a first type of fluids, second input ports for receiving a second type of fluids, and exit ports for outputting unused system fluids. First type fluids are process fluids are specific to the filtration processes executed in individual filtration units. Second type fluids are system fluids not specific to filtration processes executed in the individual filtration units. The second input and exit ports establish inter-module connections so system fluids can be forwarded from one filtration module to an adjacent filtration module of the filtration system.
FILTRATION SYSTEM FOR CELL REMOVAL SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
A filtration system can include a loading member configured to receive a plurality of filtration members which can be sequentially moved from a non-active position in which a respective one of the plurality of filtration members is not in fluid communication with a sample flow path of the cell removal system, to an active position in which the respective filtration member is in fluid communication with the sample flow path, and to a discarded position in which the respective filtration member has been removed from fluid communication with the sample flow path.
Hollow fiber filter arrangement
Disclosed is a hollow fiber filter arrangement and a bioreactor system comprising such a hollow fiber filter arrangement. The hollow fiber filter arrangement comprising: an inlet for receiving a sample to be filtered in the hollow fiber filter arrangement; an outlet for delivering of the filtered sample out from the hollow fiber filter arrangement; a bundle of elongate hollow fibers connected at a first end to the inlet and connected at an opposite second end to the outlet; and an outer housing enclosing the bundle, wherein a filtrate/waste collection space is provided between the outer housing and the at least one elongated hollow fiber, and wherein the outer housing is made from a flexible material.
SIMPLIFIED FLUID CONNECTION AND MEMBRANE FILTER
The invention concerns a set of tubular elastic coupling bodies arranged opposing at inlet and outlet of a filter cartridge.
The tubular elastic end coupling, comprises a tube end adapted to fit on the filter cartridge inlet/outlet. The elastic end coupling comprises one or more tubular fluid connections for conveying fluid to and from external means for fluid content separation purposes by said membrane filter cartridge.
Automated single-use filtering apparatus, and method for controlling an automated single-use filtering apparatus
An automated single-use filtration device, in particular for large-volume filtration processes, comprises an unfiltrate inlet, one or more filter elements, a filtrate outlet and sensors for detecting specific process parameters and regulating mechanisms for adjusting specific process parameters. The sensors and regulating mechanisms are connected to an external monitoring and control system, which is adapted for evaluating and processing sensor data and for piloting the regulating mechanisms based on one or more control algorithms.
