Preparative separation-purification system for capturing target components

In a preparative separation-purification system for passing a solution containing a target component through a trap column to capture the target component in the column, and for subsequently passing an eluting solvent through the column to elute the captured component and collect it in a container, a dilution passage is merged with a collection passage for sending an eluate from the outlet end of the trap column to the collection container, and a diluting liquid is intermittently introduced through the dilution passage into the collection passage. The diluting liquid lowers the concentration of the target component in the eluate and impedes the deposition of the target component. Thus, clogging of the passage due to the deposition of the target component eluted from the trap column is effectively prevented.

Piston valve with annular passages

An exemplary valve control system includes a master controller that wirelessly communicates with a plurality of slave controllers. The slave controllers are each associated with respective devices and sensors. In exemplary arrangements a valve slave controller is associated with a motor that controls a condition of a valve. An exemplary control valve includes a valve body with a plurality of ports (A, B, C, D, E, F) and a plurality of annular flow passages. A piston is selectively movable within a bore within the valve body through operation of the motor and valve slave controller. The valve slave controller is selectively operative to control the position of the piston so as to selectively enable liquid flow through the valve.

Piston valve with annular passages

A control valve (10) includes a valve body with a plurality of ports (A, B, C, D, E, F) and a plurality of annular flow passages (53, 55,57). A piston (34) which includes a plurality of annular flow passages and a longitudinal flow passage is selectively movable within a bore (32) within the valve body through operation of a valve controller (70). The valve controller is selectively operative to control the position of the piston so as to enable liquid flow through a plurality of flow paths. A master controller wirelessly communicates with a plurality of slave controllers, including the valve controller. The master controller is operative to control conditions of the valve and an associated liquid treatment tank.

Piston valve with annular passages

A control valve (10) includes a valve body with a plurality of ports (A, B, C, D, E, F) and a plurality of annular flow passages (53, 55, 57). A piston (34) which includes a plurality of annular flow passages and a longitudinal flow passage is selectively movable within a bore (32) within the valve body through operation of a valve controller (70). The valve controller is selectively operative to control the position of the piston so as to enable liquid flow through a plurality of flow paths. The valve controller further includes a installable and removable valve controller housing (74) which is releasibly engageable with a valve base (72). The valve may include a changeable multi-piece piston and changeable injector and plug components to adapt the valve to different flow and fluid mixing requirements.

REGENERATIVE MEDIA FILTER WITH FLOW DIFFUSER

Water filtration systems are disclosed. The water filtration systems include a regenerative media filter vessel comprising a housing, an inlet, and an outlet, a diffuser fluidly connected to the inlet and disposed within the regenerative media filter vessel, and at least one pump configured to direct water through the water filtration system. The housing of the regenerative media filter vessel comprises a concave lower portion centered about a vertical axis of the vessel. The position of the diffuser along a height of the regenerative media filter vessel is determined by at least a ratio of the height to an inner diameter of the regenerative media filter vessel and a radius of curvature of the concave lower portion. A regenerative media filter including a diffuser having asymmetrically spaced apertures is also disclosed.

REGENERATIVE MEDIA FILTER WITH FLOW DIFFUSER

Water filtration systems are disclosed. The water filtration systems include a regenerative media filter vessel comprising a housing, an inlet, and an outlet, a diffuser fluidly connected to the inlet and disposed within the regenerative media filter vessel, and at least one pump configured to direct water through the water filtration system. The housing of the regenerative media filter vessel comprises a concave lower portion centered about a vertical axis of the vessel. The position of the diffuser along a height of the regenerative media filter vessel is determined by at least a ratio of the height to an inner diameter of the regenerative media filter vessel and a radius of curvature of the concave lower portion. A regenerative media filter including a diffuser having asymmetrically spaced apertures is also disclosed.

The present invention discloses a filtration system for treating untreated liquid such as greywater or any liquid that is contaminated with impurity and is required to be treated before use. The filtration system is a gravity fed liquid treatment system and includes components such as a top liquid tank for holding untreated liquid and a bottom liquid tank for holding treated liquid. The filtration system further includes one or more filtration media containers and filtration columns. Each filtration column is a composition of the stacked filtration media containers. The filtration system may be used for cleaning the contaminated water or keeping clear the surface of open water from oil or the like floating materials by separating or removing these materials from the water. The filtration system may include portable or detachable small-scale multistage treatment devices and may be implemented using household-type filters for producing potable filtration system.

A filtering apparatus is configured to receive pressurized fluid from a pump. The filtering apparatus has a main inlet, a main outlet, and a filtering branch comprising a first filter. An agitator of a tank from which the pump draws is configured to receive fluid flow from the filtering branch via a proportional valve and an inlet connection. A method of operating a filtering system includes influencing fluid flow from a tank to one or more nozzles via a filtering apparatus; and diverting a portion of the fluid flow through plural filters of a different mesh size back to an agitating mechanism through a lower portion of the tank.

In one implementation, a system includes a water receptacle to house unfiltered water, the receptacle including an aperture located in a sidewall, a valve component located on an exterior surface of the sidewall in alignment with a filter housing located on an interior surface of the sidewall filtrate the unfiltered water. In one implementation, a method includes filling a water receptacle with unfiltered water, filtrating the unfiltered water through a filter housing in the water receptacle to obtain filtered water, and moving the filtered water from the filter housing and out of a valve component connected to a first end of a filter housing.
