A mesh filter for a fuel system of a vehicle may include: a frame for maintaining a shape thereof; a mesh member coupled to the frame so as to remove foreign substances contained in fuel, where the mesh member includes a first mesh member and a second mesh member; and an opening unit for opening and closing a fuel path in the first mesh member. In particular, the second mesh member has a mesh size smaller than a mesh size of the first mesh member such that the mesh filter inhibits clogging of the mesh filter with paraffin wax.

A fluid management system including an inlet configured to receive pre-processed fluid is provided. The system includes a filtering apparatus configured to remove contaminants from the pre-processed fluid. The filtering apparatus includes a plate having a first opening. A first manifold pipe is disposed on the plate and includes one or more perforations and a second opening at least partially aligned with the first opening. A second manifold pipe is disposed on the plate and includes one or more perforations. Filter media is disposed between the first manifold pipe and the second manifold pipe and is configured to separate the contaminants from the pre-processed fluid. The system also includes an outlet coupled to the second manifold pipe to receive processed fluid from the filtering apparatus.

A method and apparatus for filtering fluid for a food processing system is disclosed and includes a fluid inlet, a filtered outlet, a drain outlet, two filters—each having inlets, inlet valves, drain outlets, drain valves, filtered outlets, and return valves. A first recycling flow path includes an inlet valve, an inlet, a filter, a return valve, and a filtered outlet. A first drain flow path includes the inlet valve, the inlet, the filter, the drain valve, and the drain outlet. A second set of like flow paths for the second filter is provided. A controller is connected to control each of valves, and the controller has a first filter purge module, a first filter filter module, a first filter power purge module, a first filter off module, second filter purge module, a second filter filter module, a second filter power purge module, and a second filter off module.

The invention relates to a filter system for removing and/or neutralizing undissolved oils, greases and salts, preferably also floating bodies, such as metal debris, on/in water-containing emulsions from, in particular, containers and tanks that are used for holding and storing emulsions.

The present invention relates to a water purification housing capable of purifying water and a rainwater purification system using the same. The water purification housing according to the present invention comprises a means that can filter treated water by filling filter media in a housing body and then passing the treated water through the filter media and a mean that can remove residue caught in the filter media as a result of the use of the filter media by collecting the residue in a sediment discharge container positioned at a bottom portion of the housing body. The rainwater purification system according to the present invention comprises a means that connects and installs several water purification housings and an additional filtration means including fiber filter and UV lamp which can filter materials that cannot be filtered only by the filter media at the end thereof.

Systems and methods for generating and using a water filtration media containing date seed powder are provided. The method of generating the date seed powder for use in a water treatment system includes drying the date seeds, cleaning and removing the date seed envelopes, grinding the date seeds, and segregating the date seed powder according to a predetermined particle size. The method of using the date seed powder to treat water includes using a treatment tank with a date seed media bed layer, introducing water, and filtering suspended solids from the water stream using the date seed media bed layer. The system utilizing the date seed media bed layer includes a treatment tank, a date seed media bed layer, water inlets and outlets, backwashing equipment, and media support screens.

A two-stage filter enclosed within a single vessel is provided. The two-stage filter is provided in the form of the vessel having a first filtration stage configured to capture particles of a first size, and a second filtration stage downstream of the first filtration stage and in fluid communication with the first filtration stage configured to capture particles of a second size, wherein the first size is larger than the second size. The instant invention, in one aspect, provides a process for decontaminating water to remove contaminants, said process comprising passing contaminated water through a filter comprising a plurality of filtering elements capable of lowering the contaminants by at least 70%. A filter cartridge for a whole house water filter includes a cylindrical, or tubular, filter media coupled to a mixer tank with improved high flow mixing features. The mixer tank includes a bowl in which a flow diverter, a flow guide with angled fins and a filter media are provided. The flow diverter has a concave portion, i.e., a mushroom-shaped portion, the interior of which is in fluid connection with a central passage through which filtered water flows. In operation, the filtered water flows through the central passage and is deflected by the concave interior of the flow diverter down through the angled fins of the flow guide. The filtered water then passes out through an outlet. The mixer tank stirs the filter media and water mix to increase the kinetics of the mixing process.
