Filter Leak Path Prevention Via Interference Pin
A replacement filter element having a removable pin attached to the filter element is described. The removable pin is attached to the filter element via a first interference fit. When the replacement filter element is installed into a filtration system having a drain valve with an internal draft, the removable pin seals onto the drain valve and forms a second interference fit between the drain valve and the pin. The pin seals an opening in the drain valve. The second interference fit is stronger than the first interference. Accordingly, when the replacement filter element is removed from the filter housing (e.g., during a service event of the replacement filter element), the pin detaches from the replacement filter element and remains positioned within the drain valve thereby preventing fluid from leaking from the housing when the filter element is removed. The pin permanently plugs the drain valve once installed.
Multi-function hydraulic separator
A hydronic system separator has an air separator with a vent release mechanism to remove air from the fluid within a hydronic system. The separator includes a magnetic assembly for collecting ferrous particles from the fluid. One or more screens are used to remove other particles from the fluid. The separator housing includes a removable debris collection receptacle that has a drain assembly.
Filters for Appliances
A filter for a non-plumbed appliance is provided. The filter includes a filter housing defining a filter chamber. A filter medium is positioned within the filter chamber, each end of the filter medium being enclosed by an endcap formed from a resilient material, such as molded silicone or a thermoplastic elastomer. The endcaps slide on the ends of the filter media with no need for adhesive and form a fluid seal with both the filter media and the filter housing once installed. One or more fluid bypass channels may be defined by the filter housing or in the endcaps to allow water to flow as desired within the filter chamber. The resulting filter requires fewer components and less assembly time while improving filtration performance and reliability.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DEWATERING SOLID PARTICLES IN A CONTAMINATED LIQUID MIXTURE
The present disclosure relates, according to some embodiments, to methods, systems, and apparatuses for dewatering solid particles in a liquid mixture, such as those, for example, comprising receiving a liquid mixture, the liquid mixture including solid particles; suspending a filter in the liquid mixture; agglomerating, at the filter, solid particles in the liquid mixture, the agglomerating including potentiating passage of liquid in the liquid mixture through the filter and potentiating accumulation of solid particles in the liquid mixture to collect and agglomerate at the filter; and applying a shockwave to the filter, the applied shockwave operable to remove the agglomerated solid particles from the filter.
RECESS FOR RECEIVING A FILTER CARTRIDGE
An axial extension part is proposed which makes it possible to use a filter cartridge (25) of larger axial dimensions than a standard filter cartridge for which the axial depth of a hollow housing (11) of a casing (10) of a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) device has been provided. This makes it possible to have different filtration characteristics without having to modify the casing. The larger filter cartridge (25) can be inserted into the extension part when this part is mounted in the housing (11) of the casing (10). The cartridge is sealed therein when the sealing cap (21) is put in place to close the opening at the rear end of the part.
MIKVAH SANITATION DEVICES
A sanitation device for cleaning a body of water in an immersion pool of a mikvah has a housing, a driving member and a bypass passageway. The housing includes an inlet, an outlet and internal liquid passages that communicate between the inlet and outlet. The driving member is arranged to urge flow of liquid through the internal liquid passages by exerting thrust upon liquid flowing through the driving member, wherein at least part of the liquid flowing through the liquid passages bypasses flowing through the driving member by flowing through the bypass passageway towards the device's outlet.
Integral flow structure within a containment cover
A filtration assembly includes a housing. The housing includes a first housing for fluid and a second housing opening for fluid. A containment cover is removably coupled to the housing. The containment cover defines a cover opening, a cover surface, and a flow passage. The cover opening is in fluid communication with the housing. The cover surface is substantially continuous around a circumference of the containment cover. The cover surface includes an open portion in fluid communication with the second housing opening. The flow passage is formed by a first passage surface and a second passage surface. The flow passage includes a first end in fluid communication with the cover opening. A second end is in fluid communication with the second housing opening through the open portion of the cover surface. The flow passage extends radially outward from the cover opening.
FILTER CARTRIDGE, AND METHOD OF RETROFITTING FILTER HOUSING
A removable filter cartridge includes a filter housing containing a filter and a sealing valve coupled to an open end of the filter housing. The sealing valve configured to removably couple the removable filter cartridge to a filter head. An open position allows fluid to flow into and out of the internal volume of the filter housing. A closed position seals the filter housing. A method for retrofitting a filter housing includes removing the filter housing from a filter head, coupling a sealing valve to the removable filter to form a removable filter cartridge, and coupling the removable filter cartridge to the filter head.
FILTER ELEMENT FOR USE IN A FILTER, AND FILTER COMPRISING A FILTER ELEMENT
A filter element, in particular a replaceable filter element, more particularly for separating particles and/or gases and/or liquids, in particular a filter cartridge for use in a filter, more particularly a compressed air filter, in particular as a component of a filter comprising multiple filtration stages, includes a substantially tubular body with an annular end face that faces a filter head, an underside, and a circumferential surface. Multiple, preferably four, retaining arms, running radially in relation to the central axis, are provided in the region of the end face and a toroidal filter-element sealing surface is provided on the end face, and the retaining arms protrude in relation to the filter-element sealing surface. The filter element is usable in a filter.
Oil filter and filter cartridge for an oil filter of a motor vehicle
An oil filter for a motor vehicle has a filter cartridge which is disposed in an oil filter housing of the oil filter. The filter cartridge has a channel for filtered oil which is surrounded at least regionally by a filter material in the radial direction. At least one through opening is formed in a wall of the channel. An emergence of filtered oil via the at least one through opening into a channel for the filtered oil provided on sides of the oil filter housing is preventable by bringing the filter cartridge into a first position. An inlet into the channel provided on sides of the oil filter housing fluidically connectable to the at least one through opening by bringing the filter cartridge into a second position in which the filter cartridge is shifted relative to the first position in an axial direction.
