REGENERATIVE MEDIA FILTER AIR SCOURING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A water filtration system is also disclosed. The water filtration system includes a regenerative media filter vessel, a filtrate line, a feed line, a recirculation line, a gas line, and at least one pump. A method of filtering water in a system comprising a regenerative media filter is disclosed. The method includes operating the system in a filtration mode, operating the system in a cleaning mode responsive to a differential pressure measurement across the regenerative media filter, operating the system in an aeration mode, operating the system in a pre-filtration mode after operating the system in the cleaning mode, operating the system in a drain mode, and operating the system in the filtration mode following the drain mode. A controller and non-transitory computer-readable medium having computer-readable signals stored thereon that define instructions that, as a result of being executed by the controller, instruct the controller to perform a method of operating a water filtration system are disclosed.
Apparatus and method for isolation and/or preparation of particles
An apparatus and a method for isolating and/or preparing particles are provided.
Filter cleaning stand
The present invention is a filter cleaning stand which provides a solution to the problem of convenient cleaning of a cartridge filter while also containing the wastewater generated while cleaning the cartridge filter. The core components of the invention are a base, a raised platform and a wall that partially encloses the filter. Generally speaking, the components are configured as follows: the raised platform is above the base and arranged to support a filter and allow water to pass under the raised platform, and the wall is above the base and is arranged to partially enclose the filter on the raised platform.
LAMINATED SPIRAL DEWATERING EQUIPMENT HAVING DETACHABLE DRIVING DEVICE
A laminated spiral dewatering equipment, including a filtration cavity, a spiral shaft, a driving device and multiple supporting plates. The supporting plates are configured to support and position the filtration cavity, the spiral shaft and the driving device. The spiral shaft is penetratedly arranged in the filtration cavity. The filtration cavity includes a first closed ring piece group and a second closed ring piece group. A primary driving rod of the driving device is arranged above the filtration cavity, and is configured to drive an upper end of the first closed ring piece group to circumferentially reciprocate, and a lower end of the first closed ring piece group to perform a up-down reciprocating linear motion.
Rotary filter and associated filtering method
The invention proposes a rotary filter intended for liquid/solid separation of a suspension, comprising a trough, a spraying device, and at least one disk which is non-rotatably connected to a main shaft, characterized in that: each disk comprises a first series of at least one filter sector which is separated from a second series of at least one filter sector by means of two non-filtering zones, the main shaft comprises a first pipe which communicates with the first series of at least one filter sector of each disk, and a second pipe which communicates with the second series of at least one filter sector of each disk, said rotary filter comprises comb teeth.
The invention also proposes a filtration method.
Self cleaning filter system and method
A filter apparatus includes a filter, such as a cartridge, positioned within a housing. The filter apparatus has multiple ports and valves, so as to allow a user to easily switch between a filtration mode of filtering fluids and a maintenance mode of cleaning the filter. The filter can have a filter substrate in a housing and after filtrate builds up on the substrate, the substrate can be cleaned by directing a spray of fluid, such as from a ring of nozzles at the top of the housing, onto the substrate. A maintenance port can be provided to drain the debris washed from the substrate. The filter can switch between a backwash mode and a filtration mode.
AUTOMATED PERMEABILITY TEST FOR A FILTER BASKET
A method for automated cleaning of a filter basket in a bioreactor includes determining permeability of the filter basket. A control unit controls a suction unit for suctioning a residual liquid from the liquid tank, a liquid metering unit for dispensing a liquid having a predetermined liquid volume into the filter basket controls the suction unit to empty the liquid tank by suctioning a filtered liquid volume, measures the volume of the suctioned liquid volume, and sending a first measurement signal to the control unit. The control unit determines a permeability quotient from the volume of the extracted filtered liquid volume to the volume of the dispensed predetermined liquid volume and compares the permeability quotient with a permeability threshold. The control unit then controls a cleaning unit to perform a cleaning process of the filter basket if the permeability quotient is below the permeability threshold.
System and method for filtration of liquids
A normal flow filtration system having a housing with one or more filters contained within a bowl and attached to the outlet of the system. Liquid enters the bowl, contacts the surfaces of the one or more filters. Impurities are trapped in the filter and the filtered liquid flows through to the outlet. Parameter(s) such as flow rate, transmembrane pressure drop and/or time are measured and when met, filtration ceases. A backflushing occurs through the filter(s) so as to remove the impurities from the filter. This backwashed material is directed to an outlet of the bowl that is connected to a drain. Additionally a port formed in the side of the housing adjacent an outer surface of the filter(s) can be used to provide a lateral washing of the filter(s). The system is then recirculated in a downstream manner to reestablish equilibrium and filtration is then restarted.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR POOL AND SPA FILTER CLEANING
A self-cleaning pool or spa filter system having a filter body housing a set of filter cartridges, each filter cartridge rotatably connected to a filter holder, a spray manifold having an inlet for receiving water from a pump and a plurality of sprayers, a shaft connected to the filter holder and a motor, which can rotate the shaft and thus the filter holder, causing the set of filter cartridges to rotate about the shaft, exposing lengthwise each filter cartridge to the sprayers; a sun gear attached to the first shaft; and a set of planet gears, each planet gear being concentrically associated with one filter cartridge and engaged by the sun gear, causing transfer of a rotational movement of the sun gear to each planet gear and to each filter cartridge, causing each filter cartridge to rotate, exposing the entire circumference of each filter cartridge to the plurality of sprayers.
