Liquid discharge filter and its use
A filter system and filtration process for obtaining a filtered liquid and slurrifying a filter cake and whereby the filter cake is slurrified under such conditions that the solids of the slurrified filter cake maintain a suitable quality for being re-used. The filter system has a housing (1) comprising an aperture (6) for liquid containing solids, and a discharge outlet (5) and is characterized in that the housing (1) of the filter system is comprising a slurrification section (3) and at least one filter element (2) having two sides wherein one side is suitable for building up a filter cake and another sides is suitable for contact with filtered liquid, and the slurrification section is comprising at least one nozzle (4) for steam or gas injection and the discharge outlet (5) is suitable for discharging a slurry.

SELF-CLEANING FILTER
Embodiments relate generally to a self-cleaning filter. A filter may include a tube comprising perforations. The tube may be configured to receive a flow of a liquid from a first direction or a flow of a gas from a second direction opposite to the first direction. The filter may also include a filter media positioned concentrically around the tube, and spacers positioned between the tube and the filter media to create a space between the tube and the filter media. A portion of the filter media is configured to flex inward into the space during the flow of liquid into the filter, and flex outward from the space during the flow of gas exiting the filter.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A FILTER PRESS AND A FILTER PRESS
A method of operating a filter press, wherein filter material is fed into a filter chamber so as to form a filter cake between at least two sides of a flexible said filter medium. Filtrate is received from the filter chamber and the filter cake formed the filter chamber is discharged. Prior to discharging the filter cake, compression is applied on the filter cake formed within the filter chamber by providing compression fluid gas at a compression pressure exceeding a prevailing pressure within the filter chamber, directly on a side of the filter medium exterior to the filter chamber, so as to exert said compression pressure directly on said side of the filter medium, thereby causing the filter medium to yield against the filter cake.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SEPARATING THE SOLID FRACTION FROM THE LIQUID FRACTION OF A SLURRY
A device for separating the liquid phase from the solid phase of a slurry, wherein such separation is obtained by a filtration process, preferably under pressure, in combination with a process of clarification and withdrawal of the clarified liquid within the filter at an adjustable height.
Filtration apparatus
A filtration apparatus (10) with a rotatable carousel (18) including five equispaced cylindrical chambers (22). Beneath the chambers (22) a kidney shaped filter plate (40) is provided, and also a downwardly extending opening (36). The chambers (22) are selectively moveable to be located over the filter (40), or over the opening (36), in which latter position material can be ejected from the respective chamber (22) by a piston and cylinder (34) located spaced above the opening (36).
