Filter Securement Assembly
A method for filtering airborne particulates is described. The method includes providing an exhaust hood, and the exhaust hood defines an intake and the exhaust hood being adapted to receive airborne particulates via the intake. The method also includes conveying a portion of a filter media from a media source area to an active media area, transferring the portion of the filter media from the active media area to a media discard area, the media discard area and the media source area being disposed on substantially opposed sides of the active media area, and severing the portion of the filter media in the media discard area from a remainder of the filter media.
DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER REGENERATION SYSTEM
Methods and systems are provided for regeneration of a particulate filter including a filter body having a filter paper looped along a plurality of rolling guides. At least one rolling guide may be a roller heater having a motor and a heater. Activation of the roller heater based on a pressure difference across the particulate filter regenerates the particulate filter during a regeneration phase and positions a regenerated section of the filter paper for trapping soot in a subsequent soot loading phase.
FILTER HOUSING
The present invention relates to an air filter housing for supplying air to a space, said air filter housing being configured to be arranged in a ceiling of said space, said housing having a mouth facing downward, said mouth comprising a sealing surface configured to receive a panel type air filter comprising a frame and a filter medium held within said frame, such that a sealing connection between said sealing surface and said frame is achieved, characterized in that said filter housing further comprises at least one resilient member arranged below the sealing surface such that when a panel type air filter is inserted into the mouth, the resilient member will be deformed by the filter frame as the filter passes the resilient member, and resume its original shape once the filter has passed, such that the filter is retained between the sealing surface and the resilient member. The present invention further relates to the use of a filter housing in a cleanroom, and to a method of mounting a panel type air filter in an air filter housing.
Pulley mount filter with vertical channel support
A filter mounting assembly for use with a structure having front and interconnecting side faces surrounding an air intake opening. The assembly includes at least one “L” shaped member adapted to be secured to either of the front or side faces of the structure on either side of the intake opening. A track is secured to each of the members so that an interior accessible channel of each track is arrayed in opposing fashion on opposite sides of the opening forward of the front intake face. A plurality of rollers are contained within each of the rails, the rollers each further including a forward extending hook portion projection from the interior track channels. A covering is provided having a plurality of side edge proximate located eyelets, the hook portions engaging through the eyelets for supporting the covering over the opening.
MODULAR FILTER FOR VENTILATION AIR VENTS
A modular filter for ventilation air vents comprises a filtering fabric roll (1) housed within a casing provided with anchoring means (13) engaging the surface (S) of the container which has the air intake port (B) to be filtered; the casing has a slot (9) for extracting the filtering fabric (T), and has a casing (4) comprised of a shaped wall (5) enclosed at the ends by covers (10, 40, 44, 51) or end supports (7, 47) of this wall having a shape corresponding to the shaped wall (5) and maintaining a longitudinal slot (9) at the front edges of the shaped wall to allow the passage for the extraction of the front (F) of the filtering fabric (T) unwound from the filtering fabric roll (1); at least one screw stay rod (8, 54) is placed between two covers (51) or end supports (7, 47) of the shaped wall and is tightened to define the proper distance between the two end supports or covers (51), by tightening the end supports (7, 47) or covers (51) to the shaped wall (5), one at each end, to close the access to the casing, and containing the filtering fabric roll (1) floating and free to rotate when the filtering fabric is dragged from the outside of the modular filter.
Various methods for producing the shaped wall (5) and finalizing the casing (4) of the modular filter are indicated.
PULLEY MOUNT FILTER WITH VERTICAL CHANNEL SUPPORT

The assembly includes at least one L shaped member adapted to be secured to either of the front or side faces of the structure on either side of the intake opening.
Airflow controller for ducting
A control unit is provided for monitoring the efficacy of an air filter in the ducting of an operating HVAC system. Specifically, the control unit monitors airflow velocity in the ducting to evaluate and control the power requirements that are necessary for the HVAC system to maintain a constant airflow velocity in the ducting of the system. In accordance with the present invention, the power requirements are measured and evaluated during the duty cycle of an air filter, to thereby determine when the air filter needs to be removed or replaced.
Automatic air filter with enhanced air flow filtering area
An air filter system in accordance with the present invention includes a filter housing that defines an airflow channel. A supply roll of a filter medium, and a take-up roll for receiving the filter medium from the supply roll are positioned parallel to each other in the airflow channel. A plurality of wire mesh diverter-screens are positioned between the supply roll and the take-up roll to establish a tortuous path for statically positioning the filter medium across the airflow channel. Periodically, the take-up roll can be rotated to draw replacement filter medium into position on the tortuous path.
