Filter device and method for changing a filter element
A filter device for filtering particles from an air flow has an inlet channel through which the air to be cleaned flows, at least one filter element through which the air can flow and which is held replaceably in a flow channel, and an outlet channel through which the cleaned air flows. The filter device has an insertion chamber which can be closed by a door and from which a filter element can be fed to the flow channel, and an output chamber which can be closed by a closure element and into which a filter element can be fed from the flow channel. A cover is attachable to the filter element, which covers a filter cake on the filter element so that the unit of filter element and cover is removable from the output chamber together.
Systems and methods for removing particulates of a fissile material
A system for removing particulates of a fissile material includes first and second filtration paths. A first filter and a first valve are disposed in the first filtration path. A second filter and a second valve are disposed in the second filtration path. The first valve and the second valve are configured to switch between a dual open state and a mixed open/closed state. During the dual open state, the first valve and the second valve axe open to permit concurrent flows of the effluent gas through the first and second filtration paths. During the mixed open/closed state, one of the first valve and the second valve is open while the other of the first valve and the second valve is closed to permit the particulates on a corresponding one of the first filter and the second filter to be dislodged by a countercurrent flow of a purging gas.

MODULAR HIGH-EFFICIENCY PARTICULATE AIR FILTRATION SYSTEM FOR MAINTAINING NEGATIVE PRESSURE IN AN ISOLATED INDOOR SPACE
A modular high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration system includes first and second modular filtration units and a blower unit. The blower unit draws air from an isolated indoor space of a facility via a ventilation input to maintain negative air pressure within the isolated indoor space. The first modular filtration unit and the second modular filtration unit are connected in parallel with the ventilation input and the blower unit. The first modular filtration unit is disposed between the blower unit and the ventilation input and at least a portion of air drawn through the ventilation input by the blower unit passes through the first modular filtration unit, and the second modular filtration unit is disposed between the blower unit and the ventilation input and at least a portion of the air drawn through the ventilation input by the blower unit passes through the second modular filtration unit.
Spray booth with carousel dry filter module
A spray booth especially adapted for painting operations having a dry filter module with features for allowing changing of the filters quickly and in a contained environment, which reduces exposure to non-authorized and non-properly-protected personnel. A carousel-like filter module flips a wall to move dirty filters into a containment space while placing clean filters in position to continue the painting process. The process and device in accordance with this invention is safe, repeatable, predictable, and capable of changing a large number of filters in a short period of time, for example, during lunch break or other short break in the painting operation.

Drainage device comprising a filter cleaning device
The present invention relates to a filtering device for removing particles from a bodily fluid of a patient, the filtering device being implantable in the patient's body. The device has a tube forming a main fluid passageway for bodily fluid, through which the bodily fluid of the patient passes when the tube is implanted in the patient, a filter connected to the tube and a filter cleaning device for cleaning the filter by moving particles collected by the filter out of the fluid passageway, wherein the filter cleaning device is adapted to replace the first filter in the fluid passageway with a second filter, thereby moving the particles collected by the first filter out of the fluid passageway.
DYNAMIC AIR FILTRATION
A filter section of a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a plurality of filters arranged in series relative to a flow path of air through the filter section. The plurality of filters includes at least one movable filter transformable between an extended position arranged within the flow path of air and a retracted position removed from the flow path of air. At least one movement mechanism is operably coupled to the at least one movable filter to transform the at least one movable filter between the extended position and the retracted position.

DUST COLLECTOR HAVING VERTICAL FILTERS AND A FILTER CARRIAGE
A dust collector including a housing including an upper wall, at least one housing wall defining an inlet, and the upper wall or the housing wall defining an outlet opposite the inlet, the inlet and the outlet at a same height; a separating plate diagonally connected to the housing above the inlet and below the outlet and extending downward from the inlet, the separating plate defines at least two substantially parallel rows of staggered apertures, an entrance duct section fluidly connected to the housing and including a duct top surface oriented diagonally upward from the housing and away from the at least one housing wall; and a plurality of vertically extending filters connected to and extending below the separating plate, a center line of the inlet extending above a top portion of the filters, each of the filters fluidly communicating with a corresponding one of the first and second apertures.
