20230129686 · 2023-04-27 ·

Methods and systems for detecting membrane blockage in a gas detector are disclosed. In some embodiments, the gas detector comprises a membrane configured to define a sensing chamber of the gas detector. The gas detector further comprises a strain sensor operatively connected to the membrane, the strain sensor configured for generating output signals related to strain in the membrane. The gas detector comprises a controller operatively connected to the strain sensor. The controller is configured to: determine a strain in the membrane based on the output signals; and determine a condition of the membrane based on the determined strain, wherein the determined condition indicates whether the membrane is blocked.

METHOD OF ANALYZING A FUNCTIONAL LAYER OF AN ELECTROCHEMICAL CELL OR AN ELECTROCHEMICAL SENSOR APPLICATION

A method of analyzing a functional layer of an electrochemical cell or an electrochemical sensor application includes conveying a predefined amount of test gas to a first surface of the functional layer, and quantitatively determining an amount of test gas that has passed through the functional layer using a detection unit located on a second surface of the functional layer, which second surface is opposite the first surface of the functional layer, wherein the test gas conveyed to the first surface of the functional layer is provided in a test gas chamber arranged on the first surface of the functional layer, characterized in that the test gas chamber is open towards the first surface of the functional layer and has an opening which has a defined length in the longitudinal direction (X) of the functional layer and a variably adjustable width in the transverse direction (Z).

Multivariate Bracketing Approach for Sterile Filter Validation
20230071627 · 2023-03-09 ·

A method of reducing resource utilization for sterile filter validation includes obtaining historical datasets that each include respective values of a plurality of parameters associated with a respective sterile filtration process for a respective protein molecule, and generating, by processing the plurality of historical datasets, a PCA model. Vectors of the PCA model correspond to differently weighted combinations of the plurality of parameters, and collectively define a model space. The method also includes obtaining a target dataset that corresponds to a sterile filtration process for a target protein molecule, and includes target values of the plurality of parameters. The method also includes mapping the target values onto the model space, determining whether the mapped target values fall within a normal operating region of the model and error space, and causing sterile filter validation to be selectively bypassed or not bypassed accordingly.

GRAPHENE MEMBRANES AND METHODS FOR MAKING GRAPHENE MEMBRANES
