In at least one embodiment, a building material comprising a porous membrane having a moderate to high water vapor permeability and high liquid water penetration resistance is disclosed. The building material may be used in building applications, including as or as part of a building wrap, a rain screen, a roofing underlayment, a flashing, a sound proofing material, or an insulation material. The porous membrane may include at least one thermoplastic polymer, at least one filler, and at least one processing oil. The porous membrane may be flat or may have ribs. The porous membrane may include at least one scrim component.
BREATHABLE FILM
A film comprising a perforated layer, wherein the perforated layer is characterized by water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) of at least 300 gr/m2/day; and wherein the perforated layer is characterized by a liquid permeability of less than 0.6 gr when measured according to AATCC 35. Further, methods of manufacturing the composition of the invention are provided.
NANOMEMBRANE AND FORMING METHOD THEREOF
A nanomembrane and a forming method thereof are provided. The nanomembrane according to embodiments of the present invention comprises an elastomer layer and nanostructures disposed on the elastomer layer. The method for forming a nanomembrane according to embodiments of the present invention comprises forming a nanocomposite solution comprising nanostructures and an elastomer solution, forming an elastomer solution layer by providing the nanocomposite solution on a first solvent, and forming an elastomer layer by drying the elastomer solution layer, and forming a nanomembrane comprising the elastomer layer and the nanostructures bonded to the elastomer layer. The nanocomposite solution is formed by mixing the nanostructures and the elastomer solution with a second solvent, and the elastomer solution is formed by mixing elastomer and a third solvent.
Composite membrane and methods of fabrication thereof
The present invention relates, in general terms, to a composite membrane for use in filtration. The present invention also relates to a method of fabricating the composite membrane, and a method of filtrating using the composite membrane as disclosed herein. The method of fabricating a composite membrane comprising contacting a perfluorinated polymer solution with a surface of a polymer layer and drying the perfluorinated polymer solution at a relative humidity of less than 20% to form a perfluorinated polymer layer physisorbed on the surface of the polymer layer.

MEMBRANE FOR REMOVING ANIONIC MATERIALS
The disclosure provides a porous polymeric membrane having ionizable nitrogen functional groups at least at its surface, wherein such groups are associated with a hydroxide anion. The membranes are useful in the purification of polar solvents such as water and alcohols and are capable of removing trace amounts of anionic contaminants such as halides, phosphates, nitrates, nitrites, sulfites, and sulfates.

Provided are certain composite membranes useful for removing various impurities from liquids. In certain aspects, the composite membranes comprise a hydrophobic polymer having a polyamide coated thereon, and in other aspects, such composite membranes having certain acrylic polymers coated thereon.
