FORWARD OSMOSIS MEMBRANE HAVING LOW WATER RESISTANCE AND EXCELLENT MECHANICAL STRENGTH
A forward osmosis membrane having a low water resistance and an excellent mechanical strength includes a support unit and a selective layer. The support unit includes a plurality of nanostructures, and has opposite first and second surfaces which are defined by the nanostructures. Each of the nanostructures includes a carbon nanotube and a hydrophilic film coated around the carbon nanotube. The hydrophilic film includes a first hydrophilic polymeric material and a second hydrophilic polymeric material. The second hydrophilic polymeric materials of the nanostructures are cross-linked. The selective layer covers and contacts the first surface of the support unit.
Method and apparatus for recycling heptafluoroisobutyronitrile
A method and device for purifying heptafluoroisobutyronitrile and a dilution gas from a used gas mixture comprising heptafluoroisobutyronitrile, a dilution gas and arcing by-products. The method comprising the steps of (a) contacting the used gas mixture with at least one adsorbent material to generate a gas stream depleted in arcing by-products; (b) contacting the gas stream depleted in by-products with a first membrane to obtain a first permeate stream rich in the dilution gas, and a first retentate stream rich in heptafluoroisobutyronitrile; (c) contacting the first permeate stream rich in the dilution gas with a second membrane to obtain a second permeate stream rich in the dilution gas and a second retentate stream rich in heptafluoroisobutyronitrile; and (d) combining the first and second retentate streams rich in heptafluoroisobutyronitrile.
MIXED MATRIX MEMBRANES AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USE THEREOF
Disclosed herein are mixed matrix membranes, the mixed matrix membranes comprising a metal organic framework CA dispersed in a continuous polymer phase and methods of making and use thereof. The mixed matrix membranes can comprise a plurality of metal organic framework particles comprising UiO-66-(COOH).sub.2 dispersed in a continuous polymer phase. The mixed matrix membranes can comprise a plurality of metal organic framework particles dispersed in a continuous polymer phase comprising polyethersulfone, polyphenylsulfone, Matrimid, Torlon, cellulose acetate, or combinations thereof. Also disclosed herein are mixed matrix membranes for separating a target ion from a non-target ion in a liquid medium. Also described herein methods of separating a target ion from a non-target ion in a liquid medium using a mixed matrix membrane, wherein the mixed matrix membrane comprises a plurality of metal organic framework particles dispersed in a continuous polymer phase.

There is provided a production method for a resist composition purified product, which includes a step (i) of filtering a resist composition with a filter having a porous structure in which adjacent spherical cells are connected to each other. The filter includes a porous membrane containing at least one resin selected from the group consisting of polyimide and polyamide imide. The resist composition contains a base material component (A) that exhibits changed solubility in a developing solution under action of acid, an onium salt, and an organic solvent component (S), where the content of the organic solvent component (S) is 97% by mass or more.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECYCLING HEPTAFLUOROISOBUTYRONITRILE
A method and device for purifying heptafluoroisobutyronitrile and a dilution gas from a used gas mixture comprising heptafluoroisobutyronitrile, a dilution gas and arcing by-products. Disclosed is a hollow fiber that contains an outer layer made of a first polymer and an inner layer made of a second polymer, the inner layer including at its outer surface a macrovoid-free thin interface sublayer in contact with the inner surface of the outer layer. The first polymer is immiscible with the second polymer. Also disclosed is a process of preparing the above-described hollow fiber.
