This invention relates in general to a system for treating hard water encountered in aircraft potable water equipment; such as hot water heaters and, more particularly, to the prevention of scale deposits in aircraft lavatory and galley heated water system components by installing a unique scale reduction system. The scale reduction system generally comprised of a housing with a modular cartridge inserted therein. The cartridge is porous and contains a chemical composition within its inner cavity, and this chemical composition is mixed with untreated inlet fluid flow so that the outlet flow is of a sufficiently diluted concentration. Various chemical compositions may be utilized to counteract any number of conditions that affect potable water equipment and, in one embodiment, a water softening agent is utilized to combat scale build-up in aircraft plumbing.

A method for obtaining a chemical concentration from a chemical composition and a fluid includes introducing the fluid through ports in a manifold diffuse member positioned adjacent a chemical composition and adjusting, with a fluid valve, characteristics of the flow of the fluid through the ports in the diffuser manifold to obtain and maintain a chemical concentration. The amount of liquid allowed through the ports modifies the turbulence of the liquid, thereby modifying the erosion rate of the chemical composition. An apparatus for adjusting characteristics of the flow of a fluid contacting a solid product to form a product chemistry includes a diffuser manifold having a manifold diffuse member comprising ports therethrough and a fluid valve for controlling the flow rate of a fluid moving through the plurality of ports and diverting the fluid through various flow paths.

A dispenser assembly for controlled hydro-injection release of an erodible solid cartridge into a liquid. The dispenser assembly includes a fluid flow member with an inlet for attaching to a pressurized fluid line and an outlet. A hydro chamber with a hydro-injector member is provided in the fluid flow member. The hydro-injector member has an inlet opening which faces the inlet of the fluid flow member and outlet opening. A cartridge holding member is removably attached to the fluid flow member and is configured to house the erodible solid cartridge in an activation chamber. A plate is positioned in engagement with the hydro-injector member. An expandable member extends from the plate. The expandable member is maintained proximate to or in contact with a top of the erodible solid cartridge to control the rate of erosion as the erodible solid cartridge is eroded.

A non-dissolvable immersible dispensing puck in the shape of a dissolvable halogen puck when the dissolvable halogen puck is in an undissolved state with the non-dissolvable immersible dispensing puck physically interchangeable with a dissolvable halogen puck when placed in a dispenser for normally holding only a set of halogen pucks to enable a single dispersant dispenser to be converted to a dual dispersant dispenser without changing the structure of the single dispersant dispenser by placing a dispenser within a dispenser wherein only one of the dispensers may be provided with adjustable water ports.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a detergent dispenser device and methods of systems related thereto. Dispensers of the present disclosure comprise a container with side walls, a base, and a lid. The dispensers and methods of use described herein are operable to store and contain a cleaning agent, allow fluid to be applied to the agent to create a cleaning solution, and further facilitate drying and fluid management.

The present invention relates to a shower head which comprises a dispenser for optionally or selectively dispensing a fluid additive such as soap, simultaneously or separately with the water. The invention discloses an innovative mechanism using optimized fluid mechanics for spraying water or cleansing solution for a more hygienic and overall cleansing experience.

A dispenser system and method for creating and dispensing one or more solutions formed from a plurality of separate and distinct solid products which are eroded or dissolved in a liquid. The one or more solutions may include at least one of a first solid product and a second solid product, dissolved in the liquid. The dispenser system may include one or more dividers within a solution forming assembly of the dispenser system to maintain separation between the first solid product and the second solid product.

A feeding head assembly and a chemical release system for eliminating scale conditions and maintaining a neutral pH in potable water is disclosed. The feeding head assembly may include a composite membrane system comprising at least one semi-permeable layer and at least one filter layer. A chemical release system may include a cartridge or vessel. The cartridge may include a hollow body with two opposing open ends. A time-release pouch may be located within the hollow body and holds a composition that mixes with potable water to eliminate scale conditions and maintain a neutral pH in the potable water. A feeding head assembly may be coupled within the hollow body between the time-release pouch and one open end of the hollow body.
