A gas inlet, a gas outlet, a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet are arranged on the housing. An externally communicating pipeline is arranged on the balance chamber. Also disclosed is an application of the present high-gravity rotating bed device under high-pressure conditions in operations such as mixing, transferring and reacting.
MIXING/DISPERSING APPARATUS AND METHOD
The apparatus can produce a product highly mixed and dispersed to a quasi-perfect level in a short time and has an extremely simple arrangement to reduce the processing cost. The mixing/dispersing apparatus for a liquid/liquid mixture includes an elongated thin tube into which the liquid/liquid mixture flows, an inlet provided at one end of the elongated thin tube to receive the liquid/liquid mixture, an outlet provided at the other end to discharge the liquid/liquid mixture, and a mixture pumping device for allowing the mixture to be fed under pressure into the elongated thin tube at a flow rate exceeding a critical Reynolds number. Two liquid storage boxes are provided such that one is located before the inlet provided at one end of the elongated thin tube and the other is located after the outlet, and a plurality of elongated thin tubes is provided between the liquid storage boxes.
Vortex mixing apparatus and method of use thereof
A apparatus comprising: a vessel component comprising a flow-through interior chamber having an interior sidewall and an exterior sidewall; at least two inlets for introducing chemical components into the flow-through interior chamber; at least one outlet for removing product from the flow-through interior chamber; and an off center rotation component which is operatively connected to the vessel component. During operation of the apparatus, the off center rotation component generates vortical movement of at least two chemical components through the flow-through interior chamber of the vessel, and converts at least a portion of the at least two chemical components to at least one reaction product or product mixture. A method of using the apparatus to produce reaction products or product mixtures. The apparatus and method are useful for producing specialty chemicals such as fragrance and flavor compounds, insect pheromones, petrochemicals, pharmaceutical compounds, agrichemical compounds, and the like.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CAVITATIONALLY TREATING A FLUID
A cavitation device and method for using the same is useful for cavitationally treating fluids by generation of hydrodynamic cavitation in the fluid followed by the subsequent collapse of cavitation bubbles. The passage of fluid through slot openings in a cylindrical insert mounted in a housing provides fluid jets in an annular cavity to induce hydrodynamic cavitation of the fluid. Fluid is discharged from the annular cavity into a downstream portion of the housing to collapse cavitation bubbles under static pressure.
Inline infusion device and method for introduction of a gas into a contained media
The present invention discloses a system for introducing a gas into a contained media such as a pond or lake. Water is removed from the media, gas introduced, and then the water removed to the contained media.
MIXING DEVICE
The invention relates to a mixing chamber in which a first liquid comes into contact with a second liquid, and a gas injection device designed to inject a gas into the mixing chamber, wherein the gas injection device comprises: a gas source to provide the gas at a predetermined pressure, and a metering unit to limit the gas provided by the gas source to a predetermined flow rate, wherein the metering unit is in contact with the mixing chamber on a gas outlet side of the metering unit, wherein the gas outlet side of the metering unit comprises an elongated gap, wherein the gas passes out of the metering unit into the mixing chamber via the elongated gap, and wherein the gas passes out of the metering unit into the mixing chamber.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR MIXING CRUDE OIL AND WATER
An apparatus for mixing wash water and crude oil includes a crude oil pipe, a wash water manifold, a plurality of conduits, and a flow controller. The crude oil pipe includes a wall having an interior surface, an exterior surface, and a plurality of wash water injectors. The plurality of wash water injectors are angularly distributed on a circumferential band of the wall of the crude oil pipe. The flow controller is operable to regulate wash water flow through the plurality of conduits. Each of the plurality of wash water injectors is fluidly coupled to the wash water manifold by one of the plurality of conduits. The plurality of wash water injectors are arranged to provide mixing of the wash water and the crude oil when the wash water is injected into the crude oil pipe through the plurality of wash water injectors.
Process to remove asphaltene from heavy oil by solvent
Embodiments of the disclosure produce a method and system for deasphalting a hydrocarbon feed. The hydrocarbon feed and a first solvent is combined using a Taylor-Couette mixer to form a mixed stream. The mixed stream and a second solvent are introduced to an extractor to produce a first deasphalted oil stream and a pitch stream. The first deasphalted oil stream is introduced to a solvent recovery unit to recover the first solvent and the second solvent via a recovered solvent stream and to produce a second deasphalted oil stream.
