Aquaculture environment control apparatuses, systems, and methods

Embodiments of the present disclosure describe an aquaculture environment control system comprising one or more control apparatuses positioned within a vessel at an angle relative to a proximal vessel wall and configured for scouring of the vessel, wherein each control apparatus has a discharge conduit and each discharge conduit has one or more orifices; and a fluid source in fluid communication with each of the control apparatuses. Embodiments of the present disclosure describe a method of controlling an aquaculture environment comprising supplying one or more of a fluid and gas to a control apparatus positioned within a vessel at an angle relative to a proximal vessel wall; and discharging one or more of the fluid and gas from the control apparatus at a fluid velocity sufficient for scouring of the vessel.

LIQUID EFFLUENT TREATMENT MODULE

Liquid effluent treatment module comprising at least one tank portion suitable for receiving a plurality of packing elements that may receive a biological material, the tank portion defining a horizontal longitudinal axis and comprising at least one effluent feed, characterized in that the tank portion further comprises: .sup.∘at least one line for collecting treated effluent arranged in a central part of the tank portion and parallel to the horizontal longitudinal axis, .sup.∘at least one air injection line arranged in a lower part of the tank portion, off-centered and parallel to the line for collecting treated effluent so as to give rise to a spiral movement of the liquid effluents.

Combined coarse and fine bubble diffuser

A system and method for aerating and mixing wastewater that includes fine bubble diffusers located at least partially below a large bubble mixer. At least a portion of the gas discharged from the fine bubble diffusers is captured by the large bubble mixer and is reused by the large bubble mixer to form and release intermittent large bubbles. Prior to being captured by the large bubble mixer, the gas discharged by the fine bubble diffusers can aerate the wastewater. The large bubble mixer includes an accumulator that, upon becoming filled with gas, generates and releases a large bubble. Upon discharge from the large bubble mixer, the large bubbles generated therein may separate into a plurality of coarse bubbles for providing additional oxygen transfer and mixing of the wastewater. The system may include supply lines for supplying gas only to the fine bubble diffuser.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING BUBBLES IN A VESSEL

The systems and methods disclosed herein provide for the efficient generation of fine bubbles. In particular, systems and methods for use in bioreactors are disclosed herein providing a superior means to produce useful fermentation products by the biological fermentation of fine bubble waste substrates injected into a liquid broth containing a microorganism culture.

A fine bubble generator may include an inlet into which gas-dissolved water in which gas is dissolved flows, an outlet out of which the gas-dissolved water flows; and a fine bubble generation portion disposed between the inlet and the outlet. The fine bubble generation portion may include a venturi portion including a diameter-reducing flow path and a diameter-increasing flow path, wherein a flow path diameter of the diameter-reducing flow path reduces from upstream to downstream, and the flow path diameter of the diameter-increasing flow path increases from upstream to downstream, a discharging flow path configured to discharge the gas-dissolved water, which flowed out of the venturi portion, out of the fine bubble generation portion; and a recirculation flow path connecting a midstream of the outflow path and the venturi portion.

Unit for passive transfer of CO2 from flue gas or ambient air
11452974 · 2022-09-27 · ·

A passive gas exchange transfer apparatus for exchanging carbon dioxide from a flue gas to a water supply is disclosed. The apparatus includes several upper rods and several lower rods to hold a membrane in place. The membrane provides increased surface area for the gas and the water to meet. The upper rods may be the source of the water supply, and the lower rods may be the source of the gas. The upper rods may disperse the water onto one side of the membrane, and the lower rods may disperse the gas onto the other side. The two may therefore meet at the surface created by the membrane as gravity draws the water downward, and convection draws the gas upward.

Scat trap aerator and filter system
11279639 · 2022-03-22 · ·

A system to treat effluent in a septic tank includes filter sections having kerfs. A strainer removes solid debris from the filter for removal without allowing the solid debris to pass. An aerator includes an eight to twelve inch diameter pipe 4 to 6 feet tall matching tank invert height. The aerator has bottom inlet holes, each with an elbow on the outside with a vertical standpipe taking effluent from the clear zone, sending it through the aerator. Air inlet piping is attached to a “T” shaped air diffuser producing bubbles traveling upward through plastic media. Aerator height is field adjusted to approximately 2 inches below static water level. Holes in the upper sidewalls just below the top let air bubbles out sideways. At its top, the aerator has a slotted, sliding, anti-turbulation collar adjusted to be one to two inches above the static water level.
