DEVICE FOR INJECTING FLUID INTO A LIQUID, METHOD FOR CLEANING SAID DEVICE, AND EFFLUENT TREATMENT INSTALLATION
A device for injecting a secondary fluid into a main liquid, includes a first part able to convey a secondary fluid in a substantially longitudinal direction; a second part able to eject the secondary fluid from the device, so as to inject the secondary fluid into a main liquid, the second part being in fluidic connection with the first part and comprising an open end; the device comprising at least a first position, referred to as the low position, and a second position, referred to as the high position, and further comprising a positioning means able to position the device in a position comprised between the first position and the second position.
Nozzled confined container for treating sludge
The disclosure relates to an apparatus, system, and methodology for treating nested waste matter, including a delivery system for delivering a volume of untreated material; a confined container having an inlet connected to the delivery system; an energy impingement device introduced transversely into said confined container, where the energy impingement device is configured to deliver a volume of injected fluid and further configured to treat the volume of untreated material in said confined container and wherein the confined container has an outlet for exiting a volume of treated material.
Automated manure agitation and transfer
A system and method that automatically transfer liquid manure from an intermediate holding receptacle to a lagoon involves a common pump for both agitating the liquid manure in and pumping the liquid manure from the receptacle. A pump motor, first valve, second valve and directable agitation nozzle of the pump are controlled by an electronic controller. The electronic controller switches on the pump motor, ensures that the first valve is closed and ensures that the second valve is open when the receptacle is full, directs the nozzle to at least two different locations in the receptacle to permit liquid manure to be redirected to the at least two different locations to agitate the liquid manure for a predetermined period of time, and opens the first valve after the predetermined period of time to permit pumping of the liquid manure from the receptacle to the lagoon. The system and method reduce equipment cost, equipment maintenance and the amount of operator time required to perform liquid manure transfer, while providing better agitation and more complete emptying of the receptacle in a shorter period of time.
Floating manure agitator with multidirectional agitator nozzles
An aquatic floating manure agitator vessel including a plurality of remotely controlled above-surface agitator nozzles which are visibly positioned on the vessel and hydraulically movable about multiple axes to facilitate effective pond agitation and directional control of the floating agitator. The floating agitator includes a vertically adjustable hydraulic undercarriage and hitch mechanism to facilitate ease of maneuverability during launching and removal of the floating agitator, and for probing the pond bottom for excess sludge build-up. The floating agitator also includes hydraulically folding side wings or pontoons mounted on each side of the vessel to further enhance ease of maneuverability and storage of the vessel.
Processing biomass
Biomass feedstocks (e.g., plant biomass, animal biomass, and municipal waste biomass) are processed to produce useful products, such as fuels. For example, systems are described that can convert feedstock materials to a sugar solution, which can then be fermented to produce ethanol. Biomass feedstock is saccharified in a vessel by operation of a jet mixer, the vessel also containing a fluid medium and a saccharifying agent.
Mixer nozzle assembly
A mixer nozzle assembly for mixing fluid introduced into a tank having a tank volume therein. The mixer nozzle assembly includes a stationary body and a rotatable body mounted on the stationary body for rotation about an axis in a predetermined direction. The fluid flows through the stationary body to the rotatable body and exits into the tank volume via one or more outlet apertures, thereby causing the rotatable body to rotate in the predetermined direction about the axis. The mixer nozzle assembly also includes a governor subassembly for controlling a speed of rotation of the rotatable body in the predetermined direction about the axis.
Floating manure agitator
A floating manure agitator that floats on the surface of a manure lagoon and that may be remotely controlled to agitate manure supernatant into a slurry with sludge settling on the bottom of the lagoon. The agitator is provided with a plurality of fluid outputs, the direction of which may be controlled to motivate and steer the agitator. The outputs are angled to develop vortices of supernatant into the sludge to further mix the materials into a slurry.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GAS BLADE MIXING OF BATTERY ELECTRODE SLURRIES
A mixing device includes a source of pressurized gas and a mixing chamber. A gas blade nozzle is disposed within the mixing chamber and connected to the source of pressurized gas.
