A flammable gas diluter includes a dilution vessel having an outer envelope defining a longitudinal flow passage from an inlet to an outlet; at least one air inlet assembly for directing a flow of air into the inlet of the dilution vessel; a flammable gas inlet arrangement located towards an inlet end of the dilution vessel; two gas flow generators configured to pump a flow of air into the air inlet assembly, the two gas flow generators being located upstream of the flammable gas inlet arrangement; and two dampers, each of the dampers being mounted between a corresponding gas flow generator and the dilution vessel. Control circuitry is configured to open a damper during an operational mode of the corresponding gas flow generator and to close the damper when the corresponding gas flow generator is stopped in standby mode.

MIXER ASSEMBLY

A mixer comprises a tubular housing defining a longitudinal axis along which exhaust gas flows. Injected reductant flows along an injection axis that extends at a non-parallel angle to the longitudinal axis. A first flow guide element extends across and blocks a portion of the tubular housing and includes a first aperture extending therethrough. The first flow guide element is positioned upstream from the reductant inlet such that exhaust gas flowing through the first aperture is impinged by the reductant. A second flow guide element is positioned downstream from the first flow guide element and fixed to the first flow guide element to define a mixing chamber in which injected reductant and exhaust gas mix. An intermediate wall is integrally formed with one of the first and second flow guide elements. The other of the first and second flow guide elements is fixed to the intermediate wall.

BOARD WITH FIBER-REINFORCED DENSE LAYER

Disclosed is a composite gypsum board comprising a set gypsum core disposed between face (e.g., Manila) and back (e.g., Newsline) cover sheets. The set gypsum core is formed from a core slurry comprising stucco, water, and optional additives, such as foaming agent, migrating starch, accelerator, retarder, dispersant, etc. A dense layer formed from a dense layer slurry comprising stucco, water, fiber (e.g., paper fiber), and optionally, strength-enhancing starch, is disposed between the core and the face paper. The dense layer slurry contains a greater concentration of fiber, and optionally, strength-enhancing starch, than the core slurry, but the concentration of one or more other additives (e.g., accelerator, retarder, dispersant, or combinations thereof) is lower or the same in the dense slurry as compared with the core slurry. Also disclosed is a method of making board using one board mixer. In embodiments, paper fiber is added to water to form a suspension. The suspension is introduced, while in a non-laminar state, into the dense slurry. Further disclosed is apparatus, such as an extractor and an additive injection system, which can be a part of a cementitious slurry mixing and dispensing assembly.

ADJUSTABLE ADDITIVE DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND DISPENSING CLOSURE VALVES FOR THE SAME

A mixing cartridge delivery system, which mixes additive with base liquid flowing through it, utilizes a dispensing closure valve to achieve improved flow of mixed liquid from the cartridge. A closure base may include a tethered lid. A flexible valve, such as a slit valve, is supported on a valve supporting end of the closure base and retained thereon with a valve retainer that interlocks with the closure base. The system may include a one-way valve for base liquid and a mixing section defined in the cartridge. The dispensing closure valve achieves improved flow characteristics in combination with the base liquid valve. The dispensing closure valve also prevents leakage and inadvertent discharge from the cartridge system.

EXHAUST GAS MIXER, SYSTEM, AND METHOD OF USING

A segmented, heated urea mixer and an exhaust system to control NOx emission from combustion engines comprising a plurality of elements, at least one mixing element independently heatable by an external power source to a temperature above a temperature of another element. A method of using the exhaust gas mixer and an exhaust gas mixer system further comprising a controller is also disclosed.

A method, flow device and system for method of guiding a flow of exhaust gas for aftertreatment, including receiving exhaust gas into a mixing chamber; supporting a mixing tube mostly in the mixing chamber obliquely to and extending through a peripheral wall of the mixing chamber; supporting by a reactant doser mount a reactant doser that doses reactant to the mixing tube; receiving, by a peripheral exhaust gas entry in the mixing tube, exhaust gas at reactant stream arriving from the doser; and forming by a swirl arrangement, a rotating flow around a mixing tube output and enhancing exhaust gas flow through the mixing tube by forming some pressure around the mixing tube downstream from the peripheral exhaust gas entry.

SPARGING DEVICE

A sparging device, especially for use in a bioprocess, including a medium chamber and at least one gas chamber. The gas chamber at least partially surrounds the medium chamber, or the medium chamber at least partially surrounds the gas chamber. The medium chamber and the gas chamber are separated from each other by a wall. The wall has a plurality of through-holes or is composed of a porous material, such as a membrane or a porous ceramic. The sparging device further includes at least one gas inlet port opening into the gas chamber for inflow of gas.
