A mixing silo for bulk material comprises a silo container, a mixing installation mounted in the silo container for mixing the bulk material, at least one shut-off element for shutting off the mixing installation, wherein the mixing silo has a minimum extraction rate and the silo container, with the mixing installation shut off, has a residual cross-sectional area which ensures a mass flow of the bulk material that is greater than or equal to the minimum extraction rate of the mixing silo.

Water separation in flowlines or trunk lines

A sink is configured to attach to a bottom surface of a flowline that is configured to flow a mixture of at least two immiscible fluids. One of the immiscible fluids is water. The water is more dense than the other of the at least two immiscible fluids. An outlet formed at a bottom portion of the sink. A valve system is connected to the opening. The valve system is configured to open the outlet in response to the water occupying at least a portion of the sink.

Low Complexity Flow Control in a Microfluidic Mixer

The present invention provides a microfluidic mixing platform having a bulk, the platform including an inlet well, a microchannel, a passive capillary valve a mixing feature and an outlet. The passive capillary valve prevents unwanted capillary flow along the microchannel. The passive capillary valve comprises a widening of the microchannel relative to the direction of fluid flow, and the angle has a graduated profile. The mixing platform bulk comprises a rigid matrix capable of machine manufacture. A method of preventing backflow in a microfluidic mixer is also provided.

Provided is a production method with which a large amount of particle mixture in which two or more types of particles are mixed can be easily produced. The production method is for producing a particle mixture in which two or more types of particles are mixed, and includes the following steps (1) and (2): (1) a step of adding a first additive to first particles and mixing the first additive with the first particles using a first mixer; and (2) a step of introducing the two or more types of particles including the first particles mixed with the first additive and second particles into a blender container of a gravity blender, and mixing the two or more types of particles inside the blender container.
