SHAFT DRIVEN DEVICES WITH FEEDBACK

A direct drive batch mixing system including a vessel having an interior region for receiving a batch, a direct drive electric motor attached to at least one rigid point, a multi-axis load cell located between the motor and the rigid point to provide signals representing forces and moments in multiple axes, and an impeller located within the interior region of the vessel and engaged with the motor such that the motor rotates the impeller. Forces and loads on the impeller are directly supported by the motor and measured by the multi-axis load cell. In some embodiments, a programmable controller generates control signals that control the motor's speed (RPM), torque and direction of rotation, and receives feedback signals for adjusting the motor's speed and/or torque and/or direction of rotation.

METHOD AND STIRRING ELEMENT DEVICE FOR MIXING MEDIUM VISCOUS TO HIGH VISCOUS FLUIDS AND/OR PASTES

A method in which a medium viscous to highly viscous fluid and/or a medium viscous to highly viscous suspension are/is mixed by means of an agitator device that is driven by a drive shaft, wherein

the fluid and/or the suspension are/is brought into a multi-dimensional flow by means of a close-clearance stirring blade (14) of the agitator device, and a flow resistance is minimized along a shaft direction in a shaft proximity.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING RESIN PARTICLE DISPERSION, METHOD FOR PRODUCING TONER FOR ELECTROSTATIC IMAGE DEVELOPMENT, AND TONER FOR ELECTROSTATIC IMAGE DEVELOPMENT

A method for producing a resin particle dispersion includes: obtaining a phase-inverted emulsion by adding a neutralizer to a resin solution prepared by dissolving a resin having an acid value in an organic solvent to thereby neutralize the resin and then adding an aqueous medium to the resulting resin solution to subject the resin to phase inversion emulsification; and removing the organic solvent from the phase-inverted emulsion. In the course of obtaining the phase-inverted emulsion, a maximum agitation power per unit mass (kg) of the resin when the resin solution containing the aqueous medium added thereto is agitated to perform the phase inversion emulsification is from 0.4 W to 20 W inclusive.

An industrial mixing machine comprises a mixing head and at least one attachment means for attaching a mixing container, which contains a material to be mixed and is open on the attachment side, to the mixing head to form a closed mixing receptacle. The mixing head is pivotably mounted in relation to a frame as part of a pivotable assembly in such a way that the closed mixing receptacle formed from mixing head and mixing container is pivotable in relation to the frame to carry out the mixing process. The mixing head has at least one mixing tool, which is seated on a drive shaft extending through the mixing head and rotationally driven thereby, having multiple radial blades. The radial blades have a cross-sectional geometry according to which, starting from its maximum thickness, the blade thickness decreases in the rotational direction toward the rear blade end. In the section of decreasing blade thickness, the blade lower side is pitched more strongly with respect to the horizontal in the rotational direction than the blade upper side. An imaginary straight line connecting the rear end of the radial blades to their respective front end facing in the rotational direction is inclined in relation to the horizontal in the same direction as the inclination of the blade lower side in the section of decreasing thickness.
