The stirring rod includes a rod body and a stirring blade. The motor rotates the stirring rod and the spiral rod, and a feeding inlet in communication with the extrusion cylinder is provided at a bottom of the stirring container. An inner wall of the stirring container is provided with a cutting rod, and a projection of the cutting rod at least partially overlaps with a projection of the stirring blade in the horizontal direction when the stirring blade is driven by the motor to rotate to a position of the cutting rod.
IN-LINE DYNAMIC MIXING APPARATUS FOR FLOCCULATING AND DEWATERING OIL SANDS FINE TAILINGS
The present invention relates to an in-line mixing apparatus and use therein for adding a polymer solution and dewatering an aqueous mineral suspension. Said method comprises statically mixing the aqueous mineral suspension with a poly(ethylene oxide) (co) polymer to form a dough-like material. The viscous mixture material is then dynamically mixed in an in-line reactor 40 to reduce the mixture viscosity and to form microflocs and release water. Said method is particularly useful for the treatment of suspensions of particulate material, especially waste mineral slurries, especially for the treatment of tailings and other waste material resulting from mineral processing, in particular, the processing of oil sands tailings.
A DEVICE AND METHOD FOR HIGH SHEAR LIQUID METAL TREATMENT
A high shear liquid metal treatment device for treating metal includes a barrel, a rotor shaft, rotor fans, and stator plates. The barrel has a longitudinal axis that extends between an upper end and a lower end, and an opening at its upper and lower ends. The rotor shaft is mounted centrally through, and parallel to the longitudinal axis. The rotor fans are mounted along an axial length of the shaft. The stator plates are formed on an inner surface of the barrel and are located between adjacent rotor fans. Each stator plate has at least one passage formed therethrough to allow fluid to pass through the plate; and upper and lower surfaces of each stator plate are formed to be within the minimum distance of an adjacent rotor fan. The minimum distance is between 10 μm and 10 mm. The device allows improved treatment of liquid and semi-liquid metals during processing.
Reactor Systems
This disclosure relates to equipment utilized to manufacture chemical agents, particularly biopharmaceuticals. In some embodiments, reactor systems comprising a mobile carriage assembly; a disposable reaction container removably attached to the carriage assembly; and, a carriage holder into which the mobile carriage assembly may be removably inserted are provided.
REACTOR FILTER WASHER DRIER (R-FWD) APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
A reactor filter washer dryer (R-FWD) apparatus and methods of using the apparatus for producing washed and dried product of a reaction is disclosed. The R-FWD comprises a vessel defining a process chamber, a filter plate laterally disposed on the vessel base, an agitator assembly, a solids discharge port in the vessel operable to remove the solid fraction of the slurry retained by the filter plate, and a filtrate outlet in the vessel for outflowing the liquid phase of the slurry filtered through the filter plate.
METHOD AND CRYSTALLIZING TANK AND ARRANGEMENT THEREOF FOR CRYSTALLIZING CALCIUM NITRATE FROM THE NITRO-PHOSPHATE PROCESS
A method for crystallizing calcium nitrate from an aqueous calcium nitrate composition including from 6 to 12 weight % nitric acid, from 11 to 17 weight % phosphoric acid, and from 36 to 49 weight % dissolved calcium nitrate, which aqueous composition is optionally directly obtainable from digesting phosphate rock in nitric acid. The method includes filling at least one vertical crystallizing tank through an inlet with the aqueous calcium nitrate composition. The crystallizing tank includes a vertical cylindrical section, a first inlet, a first outlet, a second inlet, three concentric banks of cooling coils, an agitator, and a temperature measurement device. The method includes circulating through the banks of cooling coils a cooling fluid, having an initial temperature ranging from −40° C. to −5° C., and rotating the agitator such that a minimum average heat transfer of 400 W/m.sup.2.Math.K is achieved on the cooling coil the most distant from the agitator.
Flocculation and sedimentation apparatus
A flocculation and sedimentation apparatus has: sedimentation tank that causes flocs in raw water to be sedimented and separated; sludge concentration tank that is surrounded by sedimentation tank and that collects and concentrates the flocs; and raw water supply mechanism having center line that passes through sludge concentration tank, wherein raw water supply mechanism rotates about center line and supplies the raw water to sedimentation tank. Raw water supply mechanism includes: raw water introducing portion that is located on center line and to which the raw water is introduced, raw water supply port that is open at a lower portion of an inner space of sedimentation tank and that supplies the raw water to sedimentation tank, and pipe portion that communicates both with raw water introducing portion and with raw water supply port and that extends above sludge concentration tank in a direction away from center line.
Apparatus for agitation of fluids
An apparatus for agitation of fluids is described that comprises an agitation chamber, an impeller configured to have a motor, a shaft, and blades, and a plurality of baffles. Further, the plurality of baffles have a predetermined shape and configuration. Further, the plurality of baffles are placed on a side wall of the agitation chamber.
