A method of transmitting a fluid into an oil well bore provides a frame supporting a vessel, the vessel having an interior, upper and lower end portions, a conically shaped side wall, and an outlet for discharging the fluid from the vessel. A viscous polymeric material is added to the vessel interior. A discharge pipe having a vertical section is placed below the vessel, the discharge pipe being in communication with the outlet. A positive displacement pump is contained within the discharge pipe. The pump transmits fluid from the outlet into the discharge pipe downstream of the vertical pipe section or pump. The fluid is selectively transmitted to either the vessel interior (for recirculating) or into the well. Air is added to the discharge flow line downstream of the pump.

Lightweight construction panels, such as plasterboard, (e.g. gypsum plasterboard) are commonly used to provide internal partitions in buildings. Sheets of plasterboard are typically carried and positioned by hand. Accordingly, it is desirable to reduce the weight of plasterboard. It is known to include an aqueous foam in the stucco slurry used to produce plasterboards. However, prior known mixers have been found to destroy foam bubbles. The present invention provides a stucco slurry mixing apparatus (100) including an inlet (130) for the introduction of foam into a mixing chamber (110), wherein the inlet (130) includes an inlet aperture (132) in a wall of the mixing chamber (110) and an inlet conduit (134) extending therefrom such that a relative angle between a longitudinal axis (136) of the inlet conduit (134) and a tangent (140) to a mixing path (124) defined by a mixing member (120) is less than 90 degrees.

The cylindrical impeller may include an outer surface, and the outer surface of the impeller includes a groove, a protrusion, or both, to facilitate mixing of fluidic inks flowing from the first end to the second end of the mixing chamber.

Mixing and conveying facility for dry building materials from a supply silo
10427323 · 2019-10-01 · ·

The invention relates to a mixing and conveying system for dry mortar materials. The dry mortar materials can be obtained from a storage silo (1) through an openable closure panel (3). A pipe (17), in which a drivable screw conveyor (4) is mounted, is arranged under the closure panel (3). The pipe (17) leads into a mixing and buffer container (18), in which a coil (20) is rotatably mounted on a central axis (19). The mixing and buffer container (18) has a volume which equals at least 1.5-times the minute capacity of the pump-screw conveyor (14). It is thus ensured that the dry mortar material is mixed therein with the added water for at least 90 seconds or longer. The mixing and buffer container (18) leads into a pipe (15) at the bottom having a pump-screw conveyor (14) which conveys the mixed mortar into a hose (5). The pump-screw conveyor (14) can be allowed to run backward. The coil (20) runs continually such that the mortar is constantly agitated to prevent setting.

A slurry dispense system utilizes a buffer chamber to release the pressure from the supply pump, and buffer the irregular flow rate of the supply pump. It also utilizes a positive displacement pump to control the dispense flow. With the help of the buffer chamber, the positive displacement pump is able to provide a constant flow rate, and can be accurately controlled. A high resolution and a high speed can be achieved at the same time.
