11612868 · 2023-03-28 · ·

A granular coating conveyor system for coating granular particles carried in compartments along a tubular conveyor member. Coating fluid is fed over the granular particles through radial nozzles located inside a co-axial rotating blender with tubular member upstream discharge port and tubular member downstream return ingress port for the granular particles. The blender is a drum having a helicoidal spiral screw integrally mounted to an interior peripheral wall face of the drum and extending therealong radially outwardly of the tubular member mixing in the drum in tumbling fashion the granular particles with coating fluid and guiding same therealong, so as to dynamically form a kidney shape mass of granular particles.

ROTARY IN-LINE PUMP

Rotary in-line pumps as disclosed herein overcome drawbacks associated with known adverse flow conditions that arise from flow of certain types of materials through a material flow conduit. Such rotary in-line pumps provide for flow of flowable material within a flow passage of a material flow conduit (e.g., a portion of a pipeline, tubing or the like) to have a cyclonic flow (i.e., vortex or swirling) profile. Advantageously, the cyclonic flow profile centralizes flow toward the central portion of the flow passage, thereby reducing magnitude of laminar flow. Such cyclonic flow profile provides a variety of other advantages as compared to a parabolic flow profile such as, for example, increased flow rate, reduce inner pipeline wear, more uniform inner pipe wear, reduction in energy consumption, reduced or eliminated slugging and the like.

Tumbler and method for its operation

A tumbler for food, including a container designed for receiving the food, which comprises a fluid channel for a fluid provided on the jacket side, a removal opening for the food provided on a first end face, a supply opening for the food provided on a second end face situated opposite the first end face and an extraction opening for a gas provided in the container, including a drive for rotating the container around a rotation axis and including a rotary leadthrough assigned to the second end face, which comprises a connection module, a rotary module, which is provided to be rotatable with respect to the connection module and is rotatable around the rotation axis together with the container.

Mixing devices and associated methods are described herein. Various embodiments of mixing devices can comprise a plate configured to rotate about a longitudinal axis and a plurality of enclosures coupled to the plate. The enclosures can each include (a) at least one sidewall that defines an oblique angle with the plate and (b) a chamber configured to receive a media and a fluid. The enclosures can be fluidly coupled to a fluid source for receiving the fluid in the chambers. When the plate is rotated, the enclosures revolve about the longitudinal axis to mix the media with the fluid in the chambers.
