Method for detecting cholangiocarcinoma cells
The present disclosure provides a method for detecting cholangiocarcinoma cells. The capture rate of the cholangiocarcinoma cells of the present disclosure is higher than 70%, and a plurality of octasaccharides with high affinity and specificity can be modified on the surface of magnetic beads to capture and analyze cholangiocarcinoma cells under test, wherein the cholangiocarcinoma cells can be circulating tumor cells in cholangiocarcinoma.
Apparatus for mixing formulations and producing a composition
A production apparatus includes a receiving device designed to receive a first and a second capsule containing a first and a second formulation, respectively, the receiving device being designed to be in an open position in which the first and the second capsule can be introduced into the receiving device and a closed position in which the receiving device holds the first and second capsules in position, the receiving device further being designed in such a way that when the receiving device holding the first and second capsules is moved from the open position to the closed position, the first and second capsules are connected; the apparatus further includes a mixing machine designed to receive the receiving device holding the first and second capsules, and to mix the first and second formulations contained in the first and second capsules such as to obtain the composition.

Microfluidic Mixer
A microfluidic mixer, formed by two parts, a first part being a substrate having formations defining fluid channels on an outer surface that is directed towards a second part, which is a flexible layer. The flexile layer has formations defining a fluid channel which, when the flexible layer is positioned over the substrate so as to cover the fluid channels of the substrate provides a fluid communication path. A section of said communication path comprises at least first and second fluid channels for providing first and second fluids. The first and second fluid channels merge before an inlet of a mixing chamber. The mixing chamber comprises perturbation formations. An outlet of the mixing chamber is connected to an outlet fluid channel. The flexible layer comprises points for compression at the inlet and outlet of the mixing chamber for closing the merged fluid channel. The perturbation formations of the mixing chamber are vertically arranged vertically with respect to an inner surface.

A diagnostic system for determining the presence of a target in a sample liquid that includes a diagnostic reader and a microfluidic strip having a microfluidic channel network therein. An actuator within the reader modifies the pressure of a gas in gaseous communication with a liquid-gas interface of a sample liquid within the microfluidic channel network to move and/or mix the sample liquid. The pressure modifications may be continuous and/or oscillatory.
Device and method for the detection of particles
The present invention relates to devices and methods for the qualitative and/or quantitative detection of particles. In particular, the invention relates to devices for the detection of particles, comprising a reaction chamber formed within a chamber body between a first surface and a second surface, wherein the second surface is located opposite to the first surface, and one or more displacers, wherein the distance between the first surface and the second surface is variable via the one or more displacers at least in one or more parts of the surface area of the first surface and/or second surface. The invention also relates to corresponding methods for the detection of particles.
System and method of using multi-chambered receptacles
A method of processing a sample in a receptacle comprising a plurality of chambers. Each of the chambers is connected to at least one other chamber by a portal and at least a first one of the chambers is formed of a flexible material. The method includes the steps of causing gas bubbles contained in the first chamber to accumulate in a portion of the first chamber, applying a compressive external force to the first chamber to cause some or all of the liquid contents of the first chamber to flow into an interconnected second chamber through a portal connecting the first and second chambers; and preventing the gas bubbles accumulated in a portion of the first chamber from flowing through the portal into the second chamber.
BUBBLE GENERATOR
A bubble generator includes a diaphragm, a piezoelectric vibrator, and a light source. The diaphragm includes multiple micro apertures, a first surface to be in contact with the water in the water tank and a second surface to be in contact with the gas. The diaphragm transmits ultraviolet light. The piezoelectric vibrator vibrates the diaphragm. The light source emits ultraviolet light to the water in the water tank from a side region of the diaphragm near the other surface.
FROZEN CONFECTION MACHINE
Apparatuses, systems, and methods are disclosed for eliminating or greatly reducing the cleaning process of frozen confection apparatus or machines by having the comestible mixture contained in a flexible container or bag. The comestible mixture is chilled and/or frozen and dispensed from the bag without contacting other parts of the machine, thereby helping to prevent the comestible mixture from being contaminated with bacterial, viral, chemical, or physical contaminants.
