A sparger assembly for a bioprocessing system includes a first layer having a plurality of pores of a first size, and a second layer disposed above the first layer and having a plurality of holes of a second size, the second size being greater than the first size. The pores of the first layer and the holes of the second layer allow for the passage of a sparge gas through the first layer and the second layer.
Device for circulating stored drinking water with vortex circulation
A device for storing and circulating drinking water with vortex flow includes a base, a tank and an actuator housed in the base and configured to circulate the drinking water stored in the tank with vortex flow. The base includes an inlet port through which the drinking water is received and an outlet port through which the drinking water is dispensed. The tank is mounted on the base with a sealed engagement and is configured to store the drinking water. The tank has spherical or egg shape and includes an air inlet on an upper portion of the tank through which air can flow in and out of the tank.
MAGNETICALLY-COUPLED LIQUID MIXER
A magnetically-coupled liquid mixer has axial and radial directions, and comprises: a drive mount to be secured to a wall of a mixing tank and having a stationary closed-end cylindrical casing arranged in the axial direction and configured for protruding into the tank, a tank-external drive rotor having a rotatable first magnet array and configured to be inserted in the cylindrical casing, and an impeller configured for being rotatably-mounted on the cylindrical casing and having a plurality of radially extending blades and a second magnet array. The first and second magnet arrays in an assembled state of the mixer are configured for enabling rotary torque to be transferred from the drive rotor to the impeller by magnetic coupling between the first and second magnet arrays. An upper portion of at least one blade is curved/angled in an intended direction of rotation to help move liquid axially downwards during impeller rotation.
Impeller and Sparger Assemblies for a Bioprocessing System
A sparger assembly (700) for a bioprocessing system includes a base plate (710) and at least one aeration manifold (712, 714) removably connected to tire base plate. Each aeration manifold includes at least one inlet for receiving a gas and a plurality of gas outlet openings for delivering tire gas to a fluid within the bioprocessing system. An impeller assembly (740) fora bioprocessing system includes a hub and at least one blade (742) operatively connected to the hub. The at least one blade includes a first portion connected to the hub and extending generally vertically, and a second portion extending at an upward angle from tire first portion.
YOGURT MAKER AND METHOD FOR USING THE SAME
The present disclosure discloses a yogurt maker and its method of use for using the same. A vertical upwardly extending mixing container protrusion is set at the bottom of the mixing container of the yogurt maker and a mixing head is detachably sleeved on the mixing container protrusion, and the rotation of the mixing head is driven by a power device so that the mixing head can mix the mixture in the mixing container well. At the same time, a temperature sensor is installed at the bottom of the mixing container to monitor the temperature of the mixing container, so as to ensure constant heat preservation conditions in different environments. The mixing device can be detached easily, which eliminates hygienic blind spots and ensures that the yogurt maker can be cleaned easily after making yogurt.
Bioreactors with multiple or adjustable-position agitator designs
Described herein are bioreactor support structures configured to be used with containers having different designs, and methods for making and using such bioreactors. The support structures described herein may include two or more agitator motors and control systems or an adjustable-position agitator motor, a removable spacer and/or lid, multiple configurations for ports and probes, and multiple exhaust filter heating blankets. Also described herein are methods of manufacturing a multi-agitator motor or adjustable-position agitator motor bioreactor, as well as methods of modifying an existing support structure to be used with a container not originally designed to be used with the existing support structure, and methods for operating these bioreactors.
Internal shield system for fluids and solids processing devices and uses thereof
A device for the processing of liquids and/or solids includes a disposable layer adapted to shield a working surface from coming into contact with, and being fouled by, the processed liquids and/or solids, and apparatus suitable to apply a negative pressure in a gap between the disposable layer and the working surface, thereby causing the disposable layer to adhere to the working surface.
Mixing device with a stirring element, a drive device for driving a stirring element in a mixing device, a mixing device system and a method for driving a stirring element in a mixing device
A mixing device with a stirring element includes a container (3) for receiving fluids and/or solids, at least one rotatable stirring element (100) for mixing the fluids and/or solids, at least one bearing element for the support of the stirring element (100). The stirring element (100) has at least one non-permanently magnetized element (118) so that the stirring element (100) can be put in a rotational movement by externally induced reluctance forces. A drive device having at least two pair of coils (208) through which current flows also is provided. A mixing device system includes the mixing device and the drive device. A method also is provided for driving a stirring element in a mixing device.
Electromagnetic rotary drive and a rotational device
An electromagnetic rotary drive includes a ring-shaped magnetically effective core arranged around a stator and has a magnetic central plane. The stator is a bearing and a drive stator, with which, the rotor is contactlessly magnetically drivable about an axis of rotation, and with which the rotor is contactlessly magnetically levitatable with respect to the stator. The rotor actively magnetically levitated in a radial plane perpendicular to an axial direction, and passively magnetically stabilized in the axial direction and against tilting.
