Methods and systems for inline mixing of hydrocarbon liquids
Embodiments include systems and methods of in-line mixing of hydrocarbon liquids from a plurality of tanks into a single pipeline. According to an embodiment, a method of admixing hydrocarbon liquids from a plurality of tanks into a single pipeline to provide in-line mixing thereof includes determining a ratio of a second fluid flow to a first fluid flow based on signals received from a tank flow meter in fluid communication with the second fluid flow and a booster flow meter in fluid communication with a blended fluid flow. The blended fluid flow includes a blended flow of the first fluid flow and the second fluid flow. The method further includes comparing the determined ratio to a pre-selected set point ratio thereby to determine a modified flow of the second fluid flow to drive the ratio toward the pre-selected set point ratio. The method further includes controlling a variable speed drive connected to a pump thereby to control the second fluid flow through the pump based on the determined modified flow, the pump being in fluid communication with the second fluid flow.

Analyzer and agitation unit
Analyzers are described that control sample agitation by detecting vibration acceleration and using feedback to control the agitation and also alert to the presence of abnormal agitation. An embodiment provides an analyzer comprising a liquid agitation unit; an agitated liquid analysis unit; and a unit that controls the agitation unit. The agitation unit includes a vibrator of a liquid container and a detector of vibration of the container and that outputs a signal to the control unit, which responds by regulating the vibrator.
PORTABLE ANALYZER FOR AUTOMATICALLY PERFORMING IMMUNOASSAYS, AND FOR ANALYZING AND INTERPRETING THE RESULTS THEREOF
The present invention provides an Analyzer adapted to receive an immunoassay cartridge comprising an imaging module including a two-dimensional light sensor and a plurality of light sources. The light sources and the two-dimensional light sensor are arranged such that the light sources are adapted to illuminate a result display section and a graphical code of the immunoassay cartridge and the two-dimensional light sensor is adapted to acquire images of both the graphical code and the result display section. The analyzer comprises an oscillator portion being adapted to cause the immunoassay cartridge to perform oscillations at a pre-set oscillation frequency. The analyzer comprises a processing section adapted to process an image of the graphical code acquired by the two-dimensional sensor to determine the pre-set oscillation frequency. The analyzer comprises a controller adapted to control the oscillator portion to cause the immunoassay cartridge to oscillate at the pre-set oscillation frequency.
Mixing assembly and mixing method
A mixing system and mixing method are provided. The mixing system includes a tank assembly, a container positioned within the tank assembly, a mixer disposed within a compartment of the container, a linear motor, and a shaft having a first end secured to the mixer and an opposing second end secured to the linear motor. The linear motor provides a variable stroke length for the shaft. The mixing method includes providing a tank assembly having a linear motor, positioning a mixing assembly including a mixing bag in the tank assembly, combining two or more components in a compartment of the mixing bag, attaching a mixing shaft extending from a mixer disposed within the mixing bag to the linear motor, and raising and lowering the mixing shaft to mix the two or more components. A stroke length of the mixing shaft during the raising and lowering is varied.
Mixer for Viscous Fluids and Method of Mixing Viscous Fluids
The invention relates to a mixer, in particular for mixing viscous fluids, such as paints and plasters, in a container, the mixer comprising a frame, a clamping mechanism for holding a container, which mechanism is translatably and/or rotatably mounted in the frame, a motor for translatably and/or rotatably driving the clamping mechanism a sensor for measuring vibrations of the clamping mechanism, and a controller connected to the sensor and the motor and arranged to control the motor to adjust translations and/or rotations of the clamping mechanism in dependence of the measured vibrations.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR LOADING A LIQUID WITH A GAS
A device for loading an in particular higher-viscosity liquid, such as a silicon resin, for example, with air or another gas. The device has a pressure vessel receiving the liquid and the gas, in which pressure vessel an agitator, having a drive shaft set through the pressure vessel at least in part, is arranged. In order to enable the particularly fast and homogeneous intermixing of the liquid and gas, the drive shaft is arranged in a conveying pipe and drives a conveying organ, in particular a screw conveyor, which transports the liquid through the conveying pipe to at least one outlet, and there is an running-off surface underneath the outlet from the conveying pipe for the liquid flowing out of the outlet. Upon actuation of the agitator, the liquid is thus not only well intermixed together with the air already received therein, but at the same time conveyed through the conveying pipe to the running-off surface, on which it can discharge in a thin layer and has a particularly large exchange area with the gas as a result.
Apparatus and method for providing asymmetric oscillations
Disclosed is an apparatus and method for providing asymmetric oscillations to a container. The container may include a fluid, a particle, and/or a gas. A vibration driver attached to the container provides asymmetric oscillations. A controller connected to the vibration driver controls an amplitude, frequency, and shape of the asymmetric oscillations. An amplifier amplifies the asymmetric oscillations in response to the controller. A sensor disposed on the vibration driver provides feedback to the controller.
