An apparatus for mixing is disclosed. In embodiments, the apparatus includes a head, a shaft, and a base. In embodiments, the shaft couples to the head and includes a first opening at a bottom portion of the shaft. In embodiments, the base couples to the bottom portion of the shaft and includes a second opening that extends through the base and is aligned to the first opening. In embodiments, the first and second openings are configured to receive a reciprocating motor shaft.

A reciprocating mixer for mixing liquids comprises a mixing shaft supporting a mixing head. A reciprocating drive assembly is connectable to the shaft and comprises a reciprocating fluidically powered actuator having a vertically reciprocating drive shaft coupled to the mixing shaft, a first fluidic input and a second fluidic input. A fluidic control valve is connected to the first and second fluidic inputs of the actuator. A fluidic pump has a fluidic output connected to the fluidic input of the control valve. A control unit has a communication interface connected to the communication port of the fluidic control valve and the control input the fluidic pump. In use, the fluidic pump and the fluidic control valve are operated by the control unit to provide for a downward motion cycle portion and an upward motion cycle portion that impart the vertically reciprocating movement to the mixing head.

A multi-phase cosmetic composition mixing pack for mixing immiscible components of a multi-phase cosmetic composition such that they are temporarily miscible includes a container for holding the multi-phase cosmetic composition that has a first open end. The mixing pack further includes a mixing assembly disposed within the container for mixing immiscible components of the multi-phase cosmetic composition such that they are temporarily miscible, and an actuator assembly for actuating the mixing assembly. The actuator assembly comprises a stem receivable within the first open end of the container. The stem includes a cam surface extending along at least a portion of a length of the stem, and a cam follower surface defined on the mixing assembly, wherein linear reciprocating motion of the stem causes rotation of the mixing assembly.

A mixing system and mixing method are provided. The mixing system includes a tank assembly, a container positioned within the tank assembly, a mixer disposed within a compartment of the container, a linear motor, and a shaft having a first end secured to the mixer and an opposing second end secured to the linear motor. The linear motor provides a variable stroke length for the shaft. The mixing method includes providing a tank assembly having a linear motor, positioning a mixing assembly including a mixing bag in the tank assembly, combining two or more components in a compartment of the mixing bag, attaching a mixing shaft extending from a mixer disposed within the mixing bag to the linear motor, and raising and lowering the mixing shaft to mix the two or more components. A stroke length of the mixing shaft during the raising and lowering is varied.

A micro puree machine has a drive motor positioned within a lower portion of a housing extending along a vertical axis. A mixing shaft positioned within an upper portion of the housing extends at a non-parallel angle relative to the vertical axis. The bowl of ingredients is installed to an angled surface of the upper portion of the housing along the mixing shaft axis, allowing for easier viewing of the bowl installation.

A vertical motion mixer has a drive mechanism with two axes of guidance for vertical motion. A reciprocating yoke is fixedly secured to the driving shaft for the mixer, without any guide bearing for the mixer driving shaft. A mixing apparatus containing a drive unit having a drive and a shaft that is pivotable about a pivot axis and is operatively connected to the drive. A pivotable receptacle is arranged on the shaft, where the pivot axis is oriented essentially horizontally, and the pivotable receptacle has a base plate and at least one retainer spaced therefrom, and the pivotable receptacle is configured in such a way that holders for containers can be inserted between the base plate and the at least one retainer in the direction of the pivot axis.

A device for mixing liquids and solids in liquids using vibration includes an electromagnetic drive, a drive shaft arranged coaxially with the electromagnetic drive, with drive shaft having a mixing member and either a permanent magnet or a magnetisable element excited by the electromagnetic drive to cause vibration for transmission to the mixing member, and a system of flat spring elements including a first spring element arranged parallel to the drive shaft and a second spring element arranged perpendicularly to the drive shaft and connected to the permanent magnet or the magnetisable element.

A surface treatment device includes at least one paddle in a plate shape, in a surface treatment tank, for stirring a surface treatment solution near an object to be plated by reciprocally moving the paddle with respect to the object to be plated. The paddle is configured by integrally forming multiple square bars provided in a depth direction or a horizontal direction of the surface treatment solution at regular intervals along the object to be plated. A liquid draining member for draining a liquid is arranged in at least one side of an end of the paddle.

The present invention relates to a biological material extraction apparatus. According to the present invention, a tube in which a solution for use in extracting a biological material is contained is rotated to directly mix the solution, and cells where stirring is being conducted in each step are sealed to fundamentally block stirring-induced pollution between cells, thereby improving an extraction efficiency.
