Hair treatment system
System for treating a head of hair, including a pipe for circulating a liquid, a device for feeding the pipe with water, at least one source of product, the product (P1) comprising one or more surfactants, a device for injecting product into the pipe to form a treatment solution comprising one or more surfactants in a content ranging from 0.35% to 1.5% by weight of surfactant(s) relative to the total weight of the treatment solution, a dispensing device for delivering the treatment solution onto the head of hair (B) with a flow rate of between 0.5 and 5 L/min, better still between 0.8 and 3 L/min.
Gel production system and method
A gel production system and method, in which a powder configured for mixing with an aqueous solvent such as water to form a gel is metered into a pressurized air stream to fluidize the powder, and the fluidized powder is injected into a pressurized water supply. The fluidized powder is at a greater pressure than the water supply, helping to hydrate the fluidized powder in the water, and the water supply plus fluidized powder are subsequently mixed in a mixing chamber to form the gel.
DISPERSION DEVICE AND POWDER FEED MEMBER
A dispersion device includes a stirring and mixing unit that mixes a powder with a liquid, a powder feed unit that feeds the powder to the stirring and mixing unit, and a dry gas generation unit that supplies a dry gas to the powder feed unit. The powder feed unit is sealable.
Apparatus for mixing and pumping
An apparatus for mixing and pumping, the apparatus comprising a housing with an inlet and an outlet for receiving and expelling liquid and a material. The apparatus has a shear rotor and a stator for mixing the liquid and material and an impeller for pumping the liquid and material from the inlet, via an annular clearance between the shear rotor and the stator and to the outlet. The apparatus has a return conduit configured to return to the inlet a part of the liquid and material pumped via the annular clearance and openings in the stator.
ADVANCED FLUID PROCESSING METHODS AND SYSTEMS
This disclosure features methods of forming chemical compositions. The method includes (1) mixing a plurality of continuous material flows in a mixing tank to form a chemical composition, each continuous material flow including at least one component of the composition; and (2) moving a continuous flow of the chemical composition to a packaging station downstream of the mixing tank. The mixing and moving steps are performed continuously. This disclosure also features systems that can be used to perform such methods.
Disposable interconnected pump cassettes having first and second pump chambers with valved inlet and outlet connections
A system and method for pumping fluid using a set of interconnected pump cassettes is disclosed. Each of the pump cassettes can receive a first solution in a first pumping chamber and each of the pump cassettes can receive separate second solutions in respective second pumping chambers, so that the first solution can be mixed with the separate second solutions, each said mixture capable of being placed in separate containers. The system includes a control assembly for operating each pump cassette, each pump cassette having a flexible membrane to pump fluid into and out of the pumping chambers, and each pump cassette configured for mating with a base unit that provides positive or negative pneumatic pressure to the flexible membrane.
Continuous compounding systems and methods of use
Continuous compounding systems include a feeding section and a compounding section. Method for compounding or mixing solid matter and liquid matter include providing a continuous compounding system, adding matter to the continuous compounding system, and mixing or compounding the matter.
Apparatus for delivering frozen confection comprising particulate material
An apparatus (10) for delivering particulate material (50) to a flowing stream of frozen confectionery material (40) to provide a single serving to a consumer, the apparatus comprising: a dispenser for the particulate material; and a dispenser for providing the flowing stream of confectionery material flowing vertically downwards from an outlet (22), the flowing stream having an outer surface; wherein the dispenser for the particulate material comprises a particulate material deposition device (12) for depositing the particulate material at a common particulate deposition location (30), and a plurality of chutes (26), each chute arranged to catch deposited particulate material and redirect it in a substantially horizontal direction to collide with the outer surface of the flowing stream of frozen confectionery, each chute (26) beginning at the common particulate deposition location (30) and spreading out from each other to each deposit the particulates at a different radial location around the flowing stream of frozen confectionery.
Method and filling machine for filling a foodstuff
The present disclosure refers to a filling machine and to a method for filling a foodstuff which comprises at least two components to be mixed, particularly for sausage production. The foodstuff may be filled into a filling hopper of the filling machine and thoroughly mixed with a mixing cam. The mixing cam may be driven via its own drive at different speeds according to a specific speed profile while the foodstuff is conveyed out of the lower portion of the filling hopper via a conveying mechanism and is filled via a filling unit.
POLYMER PRODUCTION METHOD
A polymer production method whereby: a flow reactor comprising a flow path wherein a plurality of liquids can be mixed is used; and a monomer is anionically polymerized in the presence of an initiator. The flow reactor comprises a mixer for mixing two liquids, said mixer comprising either a joint member having a double pipe therein or a static mixer member.
