An apparatus for preparing a medical solution by adding substances present in solid molded bodies to a solvent comprises a mixing container, which can be filled through an inlet with a solvent and from which the solution can be supplied to an application via an outlet, and which also has a feed port, through which the solid molded body can be introduced into the mixing container, as well as a dosing apparatus for controllable selective addition of solid molded bodies or parts thereof with different ingredients and/or different concentrations of ingredients from one or more storage containers, in which one or more corresponding receptacles of the apparatus are stored and in which the solid molded bodies are stored in such a way that they can be removed. The apparatus may also have a code detection device for detecting and analyzing a machine-readable code associated with a storage container, said code containing information about which ingredients are contained in the solid molded bodies stored in the respective storage container.

A flexible package for storing and transporting bulk goods. Such flexible package can have material-impermeable connections for spreading out sections of the flexible package wall so as to correspond to a predefined shape. One or more docking connections for filling and discharging can be included. The flexible package can have a square bottom and adjacent to the sides thereof triangular stubs as lateral walls. Together, such lateral walls can form an upwardly open pyramid shape. Opposite the bottom, a coupling element can be connected in such a manner that it presents the flexible package so as to be sealable in a standardized manner on open-sided ends of the lateral walls.

Embodiments of a feed additive delivery device, a system comprising a micro weigh machine and the feed additive delivery device, and a method for using the device and system are disclosed. A particular exemplary feed additive delivery device comprised a feed additive hopper for suppling feed additive to a rotary valve that meters feed additive from the hopper to a blow through assembly having an assembly inlet that receives feed additive from the rotary valve, an assembly outlet through which feed additive is dispensed, and an air port for drawing air into the assembly to facilitate feed additive dispensation through the assembly outlet. The system is useful for batching a composition comprising an animal feed and at least one coated animal feed additive, a delicate animal feed additive, or combinations thereof. For certain embodiments the animals are ruminants and the coated feed additive is a coated methionine product.

A system for dispersing a catalyst in a fuel includes a first reservoir containing the fuel, and a second reservoir including an agitator and containing a quantity of the catalyst suspended in the fuel. The system also includes a first conduit extending from the first reservoir, a second conduit extending from the second reservoir, and a mixing nozzle connected to the first conduit and the second conduit. The mixing nozzle includes a first meter positioned within the first conduit, a second meter positioned within the second conduit, a valve positioned upstream from the second meter within the second conduit, a junction in flow communication with the first conduit and the second conduit, a mixer downstream from the junction, a sensor positioned between the mixer and an outlet; and a controller connected to the valve and the first and second meters, the controller receiving feedback from the sensor.

A system for processing material feeds for use by a plurality of processing machines includes an upstream batch blender, a downstream manifold, and a system controller. The batch blender prepares blended batches of material feeds from multiple batch components according to material feed formulations stored at the system controller. The manifold distributes materials feeds made by the batch blender to a plurality of buffer chambers for temporary storage and subsequent delivery to the plurality of processing machines. The system is configured to form dust-tight seals between separate system components that handle the material feeds, and to execute a self-cleansing process to remove residual material feed elements between separate processing runs of differently formulated material feeds, thereby avoiding cross-contamination of the separately formulated material feeds.
