A mixing machine, configured to receive a receiving device in order to form a mixing machine includes a support defining a receiving housing, able to receive a receiving device, the receiving device being configured to receive first and second capsules containing respectively a first formulation and a second formulation, the two capsules being fluidly linked to each other, an actuation system, movable inside the receiving housing to exert a pressure force on the receiving device and/or on the first and/or the second capsule(s), and a coupling mechanism, movable relative to the support and configured: in an insertion position, not to interfere with the insertion and the withdrawal of the receiving device into/from the receiving housing, and in a coupling position, to exert a force on an actuation face of the receiving device.

An apparatus for manufacturing a cosmetic product including a mixing machine having a removable receiving device, a support defining a receiving housing, able to receive the receiving device, the receiving device being configured to receive first and second capsules containing respectively a first formulation and a second formulation, the two capsules being fluidly linked to each other, an actuation system, movable inside the receiving housing to exert a pressure force on the receiving device and/or on the first and/or the second capsule(s), a clamping mechanism, movable relative to the support and configured:
in an insertion position, not to interfere with the insertion and the withdrawal of the receiving device including capsules into/from the receiving housing, and
in a clamping position, to pinch a section of a capsule,
in which the clamping mechanism is a clamping wheel, movable in rotation about a clamping wheel axis.

A receiving device to form a manufacturing apparatus when the receiving device is inserted into a mixing machine, includes a first receiving location configured to receive a first capsule containing a first formulation, a second receiving location configured to receive a second capsule containing a second formulation, a first bearing element located at the level of a first actuation face of the receiving device and movable inside the first receiving location, to exert a force on the first capsule, and/or a second bearing element located at the level of a second actuation face, preferably opposite to the first actuation face, and movable inside the second receiving location, in order to exert a force on the second capsule,
wherein at least one bearing element is a vane movable in rotation about a hinge, the movable vane being configured to enter one of the first and second receiving locations.

A mixing machine configured to receive a receiving device in order to form a mixing machine, the manufacturing apparatus comprising: a support defining a receiving housing, having a first receiving location configured to receive a first deformable capsule and a second receiving location configured to receive a second deformable capsule, the first and second capsules fluidly linked and respectively containing a first formulation and a second formulation, an actuation system movable relative to the support inside the receiving housing, comprising a first actuation member positioned on one side of the receiving housing and movable thereinside, in order to transmit a pressure force on the first capsule, along a first actuation stroke, a second actuation member positioned on another side, preferably an opposite side, of the receiving housing and movable thereinside, in order to transmit a pressure force on the second capsule, along a second actuation stroke, in which the first actuation stroke has a different length from the second actuation stroke.

The invention provides a multi-compartment container for storing and dispensing separately a plurality of consumable liquids that can be mixed in an accurate and repeatable manner. Each storage compartment within the container encloses a predetermined quantity of a consumable liquid, wherein the first compartment is filled with a first liquid and the other compartments are filled with second and third liquids. The individual storage compartments are structurally merged to form elongated dispensing compartments each with a first end and a second end, wherein a one-way outlet positioned at the first end and a one-way outlet located at the second end permits passage of liquid from the storage compartments into the corresponding dispensing compartments. Upon fully inverting the container, the designated outlet of each dispensing compartment is opened, wherein precise amounts of liquids in the first, second, and third compartments are dispensed at constant volume ratio using gravity.

A system and method determine color of skin of a subject and produce a customized cosmetic based at least in part on the determined color of skin. A region of skin is covered with a chamber having an open area facing the skin. The skin is illuminated with light caused to enter the chamber. The light is caused to be dispersed within the chamber. A camera is used to record an image of a portion of the dispersed light in the chamber and the recorded image is processed to characterize the color of the skin. The recorded image includes a plurality of colors which are mapped to the closest color recipe. The color recipe is used to calculate actuator displacements for a portioning machine that includes a cartridge having cosmetic additives that produce the customized cosmetic.

A storage and mixing system, for pasty two-component polymethyl methacrylate bone cements, comprises a cartridge with a cylindrical interior, a cartridge head that closes an end of said cartridge, a partition wall axially disposed in the cylindrical interior of the cartridge, wherein said partition wall is connected to the circumferential surface of the cylindrical interior of the cartridge and divides the cylindrical interior of the cartridge delimited by the cartridge head into two spatially separate cavities. The first cavity includes a first pasty cement component and the separate second cavity includes a second pasty cement component, two delivery plungers close the two cavities on the side of the cavities opposite the cartridge head. At least two cutting edges are disposed on the front side of the sleeve-shaped connecting means facing the cartridge head, such that the at least two cutting edges cut off the partition wall from the cylindrical inner wall of the cartridge as at least one cut-off strip when the delivery plungers are advanced towards the cartridge head in the cavities with the connecting means, and wherein the sleeve-shaped connecting means comprises a deflecting surface which is inclined to the axis of the connecting means which, on advancing the connecting means, presses the at least one cut-off strip of the partition wall towards the inner wall of the cartridge.

An arrangement of four or more containers on a frame disposed on a support platform where two faces of each container proximate or adjacent to a face of two other containers to form a rectangle provides a configuration that allows for safe and efficient removal and replacement of containers A rotary table coupled to a motor disposed on the support platform rotates the frame such that each container transitions to different positions. The containers discharge material through an opening of support platform. Containers may be retrieved from one position and replaced at another position or retrieved and replaced from a single position. Such a configuration allows for multiple transport devices to operate without interfering with the operations of each other.
