Systems and methods for multi-chambered syringes are described. In some embodiments, a multi-chamber syringe includes a housing with an internal cavity and first and second plungers disposed at least partially within the internal cavity. The first and second plungers are slidably displaceable relative to the housing, and are associated with first and second chambers respectively. A barrier is disposed at least partially between the first and second plungers to form the first and second chambers. The barrier is slidably displaceable relative to the plungers and barrel to selectively place the first and second chambers including first and second materials respectively in fluid communication. When the barrier is displaced, the first and second materials mix in a combined volume of the first and second chambers. Displacing the first plunger, the second plunger, and the barrier may dispense the mixed materials from the combined volume.

The cylindrical circumferential surface of the delivery plunger is resiliently deformable by the clamping element in the direction of a central cylinder axis, such that the delivery plunger is clampable in place with the at least one clamping element on the back side of the cartridge.

Mixing is not done prior to filling, but with a mixer received in a slidable bottom portion that functions as a piston. The rod terminates at its upper end with a mixing plate. Movement of the rod through the central opening provides mixing of the product through a reciprocating motion, and preferably with a simultaneous rotation. Movement of the upper mixing plate within the mixing container provides mixing of the container's contents by forcing fluid flow through one or more mixing apertures formed about a flange of the mixing plate.

A liquid-mixing apparatus used in a liquid-mixing method comprises a plurality of supply valves provided to a cylinder. The supply valves make it possible to individually supply a plurality of types of liquids into a retention chamber. Each of the supply valves is configured so as to be switchable between an open state, in which the interior of a supply channel via which a liquid is supplied and the interior of the retention chamber intercommunicate, and a closed state, in which communication between the supply channel and the retention chamber is blocked. A piston moves in the direction in which the volume of the retention chamber increases while at least one of the supply valves is in the open state, whereby a liquid is drawn into the storage chamber.
