A polymerization reactor for production of a super absorbent polymer including: a composition supply part for supplying a monomer composition solution; a central pipe connected to the composition supply part; a composition distribution part including a first connecting pipe that is obliquely connected to the central pipe at a first angle with respect to the central pipe; a pair of first branch pipes that are obliquely branched at a second angle with respect to the first connecting pipe; a conveyor belt located under the discharge port of the first branch pipe and on which the composition solution is deposited; and an energy supply part for supplying polymerization energy to the composition solution on the conveyor belt, wherein the first angle is an angle between the conveyor belt and the connecting pipe, and the second angle is an angle between the connecting pipe and each branch pipe.

The invention provides a reactor assembly (1) comprising a reactor (30), wherein the reactor (30) is configured for hosting a fluid (100) to be treated with light source radiation (11) selected from one or more of UV radiation, visible radiation, and IR radiation, wherein the reactor (30) comprises a reactor wall (35) which is transmissive for the light source radiation (11), wherein: (i) the reactor (30) is a tubular reactor (130), and wherein the reactor wall (35) defines the tubular reactor (130); (ii) the tubular reactor (130) is configured in a tubular arrangement (1130); and (iii) the reactor assembly (1) further comprises a reactor support element (40), wherein (a) the reactor support element (40) encloses at least part of the tubular arrangement (1130) or wherein (b) the tubular arrangement (1130) encloses at least part of the reactor support element (40); wherein part of the tubular arrangement (1130) is configured in contact with the reactor support element (40), and wherein another part of the tubular arrangement (1130) and the reactor support element (40) define one or more fluid transport channels (7).

Ultraviolet light treatment chamber
An apparatus for the treatment of a liquid that includes a chamber having at least one inner surface, the chamber adapted for passage of a fluid therethrough. The chamber is at least 80 percent enclosed. The apparatus also includes an optional ultraviolet-transmissive tube disposed within the chamber and also adapted for the passage of the liquid therethrough. The apparatus further includes an ultraviolet lamp disposed within the chamber and, optionally, within the ultraviolet-transmissive tube. A reflective material is interposed between the chamber and the transmissive tube. The reflective material is adapted so as to reflect at least a portion of light emitted by the ultraviolet lamp, wherein the reflective material is at least 80 percent reflective.

An ultraviolet light sterilization device for treatment of plant materials, having a rotational treatment chamber having an axis of rotation and at least one mechanical agitation element, an ultraviolet light device that is positioned inside the rotational treatment chamber and is further positioned generally parallel to and congruent with the axis of rotation and where the ultraviolet light device and the rotational treatment chamber are connected to one another via a rotational bearing such that the rotational treatment chamber may be rotated about the axis of rotation while the ultraviolet light device does not rotate, and where the ultraviolet light device is electrically coupled to a power source via an electrical cable that passes through an aperture in the rotational bearing.

Disclosed is a segmented thermoplastic elastomer that can be a polyurethane, polyurea, or polyurethane-urea comprising soft segments and hard segments, wherein the soft segments are made of polyolefin diols or polyolefin diamine that may have 0 to 1000 carbon atoms in the main chain, wherein each carbon atom in the main chain may have 0 to 2 side chains and each side chain may have 0 to 30 carbon atoms, the hard segment is made of a diisocyante and a chain extender, the hard segments make up 10-60% of the elastomer and the soft segments make up the rest, the number-average molecular weight of the elastomer is 5×10.sup.3-1000×10.sup.3 g/mol, the ultimate elongation of the elastomer is 100-1000%, the Young's modulus is 1 to 3,000 MPa, and the ultimate tensile strength is 10-100 MPa. Also disclosed are a method for preparing the segmented thermoplastic elastomer and use of segmented thermoplastic elastomer.
