Device and method for loading pellets into reactor tubes
A device for loading pellets into reactor tubes includes a portable loading box with a bottom wall defining an opening, a loading tube projecting downwardly from the opening, and a movable dam for dividing said loading box into separate chambers.
Metal supported powder catalyst matrix and processes for multiphase chemical reactions
A catalytic membrane composite that includes porous supported catalyst particles durably enmeshed in a porous fibrillated polymer membrane is provided. The porous fibrillated polymer membrane may be manipulated to take the form of a tube, disc, or diced tape and used in multiphase reaction systems. The supported catalyst particles are composed of at least one finely divided metal catalyst dispersed on a porous support substrate. High catalytic activity is gained by the effective fine dispersion of the finely divided metal catalyst such that the metal catalyst covers the support substrate and/or is interspersed in the pores of the support substrate. In some embodiments, the catalytic membrane composite may be introduced to a stirred tank autoclave reactor system, a continuous flow reactor system, or a Parr Shaker reaction system and used to effect the catalytic reaction.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INVESTIGATING NAPHTHA REFORMING PROCESSES
An apparatus and a method are used for investigating the naphtha reforming process in catalyst test devices with reactors arranged in parallel. The apparatus has a plurality of reactors arranged in parallel with reaction chambers (R1, R2, . . . ), a product fluid supply, a process control, and at least one analysis unit. Each individual reactor has an outlet line for the product fluid stream, wherein the analysis unit is operatively connected to each outlet line for the product fluid stream and the apparatus is functionally connected to the control of the apparatus. In carrying out the method, naphtha-containing reactant fluid streams are brought into contact with catalysts in the individual reactors and the product fluid streams are subsequently supplied to the online analysis unit from the respective outlet lines of the individual reactors and analyzed. Using the evaluation of the online analytical characterization data, the process parameters of the respective reactor unit are adapted. The process steps of analytical characterization, evaluation, and adaptation of process parameters are repeated for the duration of the investigation.
REFORMER FURNACE
The invention relates to a reformer furnace for catalytic reforming of a carbon-containing input material with steam. The reformer furnace has a steel construction which serves as a framework for a refractory lining and for the fastening of burners, reformer tubes and supply and discharge lines. The burners and reformer tubes are arranged in rows, parallel to one another and in alternating fashion. The steel construction includes a plurality of main carrier units, wherein each main carrier unit has at least two vertically extending supports and a horizontally extending main carrier which connects the supports. This type of steel construction makes it possible to achieve uniform spacing of the reformer tubes and burners over the entire reformer furnace. This results in advantages in terms of the maximum operating temperature of the reformer tubes, thereby extending their service life.
Method and reactor for producing one or more products
A feedstock gas, such as natural gas, is introduced into a mixing chamber. A combustible gas is introduced into a combustion chamber, for example simultaneously to the introduction of the feedstock gas. Thereafter, the combustible gas is ignited so as to cause the combustible gas to flow into the mixing chamber via one or more fluid flow paths between the combustion chamber and the mixing chamber, and to mix with the feedstock gas. The mixing of the combustible gas with the feedstock gas causes one or more products to be produced.
THERMAL CONDENSATION REACTOR
Described herein are thermal condensation reactors and processes of using the same. A presently described thermal condensation reactor includes a heat transfer chamber, wherein the heat transfer chamber is a fluidized bed having a fluidization gas flow in a first direction, and wherein the heat transfer chamber has a plurality of heating zones that may be maintained at different temperatures, and a plurality of reaction tubes disposed in the heat transfer chamber in a second direction perpendicular to the fluidization gas flow, each reaction tube having a reactant gas flow that passes through the plurality of heating zones.
PRODUCT GAS MANIFOLD SYSTEM FOR A STEAM REFORMER
A product gas manifold system for a steam reformer is provided. The product gas manifold system includes a product gas manifold including an outer jacket tube and a gas-conveying inner tube extending concentrically and coaxially over its entire length, a space between the inner and jacket tubes being at least partially filled with a first insulating material, a plurality of nozzle tubes, each for connecting a reformer tube to the product gas manifold, a second insulating material disposed around the jacket tube, a curved outer surface outwardly limiting the second layer of the second insulating material and following the shape of the jacket tube in the axial direction.
Method and system for producing a polymer
A method for producing a polymer from a first component and a second component using a reactor (50) offers technical advantages, wherein reaction heat produced in the reactor (50) is discharged via a boiling cooler (40) by supplying gaseous vapors produced in the reactor (50) to the boiling cooler (40). A product flow containing condensed vapors is returned to the reactor (50) from the boiling cooler (40) via a separation vessel (60), and an aqueous phase is separated from the product flow in the separation vessel (60). A system is provided for producing a polymer from a first component and a second component, comprising a reactor (50) and a boiling cooler (40) for discharging reaction heat produced in the reactor (50). A separation vessel (60) is arranged between the boiling cooler (40) and the reactor (50) such that a product flow containing condensed vapors is returned to the reactor (50) from the boiling cooler (40) via the separation vessel (60).
