Macromolecular compositions for binding small molecules
The present invention relates to a method for preparing a macromolecular composition comprising phenylglyoxaldehyde-derivatives. The invention also relates to the macromolecular compositions per se, and to methods of using the macromolecular compositions. The macromolecular compositions are useful for undergoing subsequent reactions with small molecules, for instance to remove such small molecules from a solution.

The present invention relates to a hydroxyapatite-supporting porous silica particle, in which hydroxyapatite is supported on a surface a spherical porous silica particle and inner surfaces of pores of the spherical porous silica particle, and in which the hydroxyapatite-supporting porous silica particle has a circularity of 0.760 or larger, a method for producing the hydroxyapatite-supporting porous silica particles, and a composition containing the hydroxyapatite-supporting porous silica particle.
METHODS OF MAKING MEDIA OF SUBSTANTIALLY MONODISPERSE POPULATIONS OF POLYARYLKETONE OR POLYARYLTHIOETHERKETONE PARTICLES, AND CONTAINERS COMPRISING THEM
The invention provides separation media of substantially monodisperse populations of substantially spherical particles of polyarylketone polymers or of thio-analogues of such polymers, of selected sizes, and further provides containers, such as chromatographic columns and cartridges, containing substantially monodisperse populations of such particles.
Dopant fluid storage and dispensing systems utilizing high performance, structurally modified particulate carbon adsorbents
A carbon adsorbent storage and dispensing system is provided with a structurally modified particulate carbon adsorbent designed with optimal volumetric surface area for a certain range of particle sizes. Bulk density and specific surface area are carefully balanced to ensure the volumetric surface area remains within an optimal range to create high performance, as measured by dispensing capacity of the dopant fluid that is reversibly adsorbed onto the structurally modified particulate carbon adsorbent.

Disclosed is an absorbent containing an amine for absorption of an acid gas in a biogas, and a biogas purification system using the same.
ZEARALENONE FUNCTIONALIZED GRAPHENE SURFACE MOLECULARLY IMPRINTED MATERIAL, PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR AND USE THEREOF
A zearalenone functionalized graphene surface molecularly imprinted material, a preparation method therefor and the use thereof, which belong to the technical field of molecularly imprinted materials. The zearalenone functionalized graphene surface molecularly imprinted material is prepared by using RGO as a carrier, CDHB as a template molecule, 1-ALPP as a functional monomer, TRIM as a cross-linking agent, AIBN as an initiator, and acetonitrile as a pore-forming agent.
CELLULOSE POROUS GEL MICROSPHERE WITH UNIFORM PARTICLE SIZE, PREPARATION METHOD AND APPLICATION
The present invention provides a cellulose porous gel microsphere with uniform particle size, a preparation method and application. Based on the liquid-liquid dispersion theory and the innovation of the underlying technology, the present invention proposes the preparation of high-performance cellulose porous gel microspheres by cellulose acetate solution with low viscosity. The present invention is environmental-friendly, low in requirements for equipment, low in cost, and easy for expanded production and application. The cellulose acetate with low viscosity is used as the raw material, and the prepared cellulose porous gel microspheres have high sphericity, uniform particle size, moderate microsphere pore size, high mechanical strength and excellent pressure/flow rate performance and are suitable for the modification of various ligands and the separation and the purification of various biomacromolecules in various modes after modification. The present invention can compete with agarose porous gel microspheres and can realize efficient separation of the biomacromolecules in chromatography.
Chromatography ligand comprising domain C from Staphylococcus aureus protein A for antibody isolation
The present invention relates to a chromatography ligand, which comprises Domain C from Staphylococcus protein A (SpA), or a functional fragment or variant thereof. The chromatography ligand presents an advantageous capability of withstanding harsh cleaning in place (CIF) conditions, and is capable of binding Fab fragments of antibodies. The ligand may be provided with a terminal coupling group, such as arginine or cysteine, to facilitate its coupling to an insoluble carrier such as beads or a membrane. The invention also relates process of using the ligand in isolation of antibodies, and to a purification protocol which may include washing steps and/or regeneration with alkali.
Activated carbon beads for smoking articles
Smoking article include a smokable material and an activated carbon particle downstream of the smokable material. The activated carbon particle is produced from a whole seed. The activated carbon particle has a length, width and height. At least two of the length width and height are independently in a range from about 1 mm to about 7.5 mm. The particles can be spheroids, in which case the length, width and height would be the same or similar.
Powder, method of producing powder and adsorption apparatus
The present invention provides that powder is mainly constituted from secondary particles of hydroxyapatite. The secondary particles are obtained by drying a slurry containing primary particles of hydroxyapatite and aggregates thereof and granulating the primary particles and the aggregates. A bulk density of the powder is 0.65 g/mL or more and a specific surface area of the secondary particles is 70 m.sup.2/g or more. The powder of the present invention has high strength and is capable of exhibiting superior adsorption capability when it is used for an adsorbent an adsorption apparatus has.
