CHROMATOGRAPHIC MATERIAL HAVING IMPROVED PH STABILITY, METHOD FOR PREPARATION THEREOF AND USES THEREOF
A chromatographic material including a substrate having a surface and having a polymeric layer covalently bound to the surface; the polymeric layer comprising polymer molecules covalently attached to the surface of the substrate, each polymer molecule being attached to the surface via multiple siloxane bonds and each polymer molecule being connected to one or more functionalizing compounds that each comprise a functional group, wherein the polymeric layer is formed by covalently attaching polymer molecules to the surface of the substrate via multiple siloxane bonds, each polymer molecule containing multiple first reactive groups, and reacting the first reactive groups of the attached polymer molecules with at least one functionalizing compound that comprises a second reactive group that is reactive with the first reactive groups and that further comprises a functional group. Preferred conditions of reacting the polymer with the substrate include elevated temperature and reduced pressure.

The zearalenone functionalized graphene surface molecularly imprinted material is prepared by using RGO as a carrier, CDHB as a template molecule, 1-ALPP as a functional monomer, TRIM as a cross-linking agent, AIBN as an initiator, and acetonitrile as a pore-forming agent.
SORBENT ARTICLE WITH WATER EXCLUSIONARY PROPERTIES AND METHODS OF FORMING THE SAME
A sorbent article is described including a plurality of sorbent elements structured to adsorb and desorb CO.sub.2 and a plurality of hydrophobic elements mixed with the plurality of sorbent elements and structured to exert hydrophobic force to expel liquid water from the sorbent article. Also described herein are methods of forming such sorbent articles for the purpose of swing adsorption, including for direct air capture (DAC) of carbon dioxide.
SORBENT INDOOR AIR PURIFIER
A diffusive air purifier includes an air permeable container containing a chemical sorbent or a sorbent precursor. The sorbent has a chemical composition selected to achieve removal of an air pollutant via a chemical reaction that renders the predetermined air pollutant immobile. A method of manufacturing the diffusive air purifier includes impregnating a porous solid with a solution of sorbent precursor and a binding agent and drying the porous solid. A method of purifying indoor air includes detecting a measured concentration of an airborne chemical in an enclosed location; selecting the diffusive air purifier to adsorb the airborne chemical; and placing the diffusive air purifier in the enclosed location. Air diffuses through the outer container and into the sorbent where the chemical to be removed is retained. Air, free of the target chemical, diffuses out of the container and the process repeats.
Improved Diatomaceous Earth Composition Containing Salt Water
The present invention relates to an improved diatomaceous earth composition containing salt water. The diatomaceous earth composition according to the present invention comprises an agglomerated mixture of calcined diatomaceous earth particles, water and at least one inorganic salt, wherein the mass ratio of the calcined diatomaceous earth particles and water is in the range of 1:1.0 to 1:2.0, and wherein the content of the at least one inorganic salt is equal to or more than 0.25 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of water. In a further aspect, the present invention relates to a method for producing the diatomaceous earth composition according to the present invention. In another aspect, the present invention relates to the use of the diatomaceous earth composition according to the present invention as an agent for precoat filtration or dynamic body feed filtration in biopharmaceutical applications.
FIBER BUNDLE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND PURIFICATION COLUMN
An object of the present invention is to provide a purification column which is a small purification column in which a volume of a liquid to be treated is reduced in order to reduce the amount of blood to be taken out and which realizes a low pressure loss and has high adsorption performance. The present invention provides a fiber bundle including a plurality of porous fibers that satisfies the following requirements (A) to (E):
(A) the porous fiber has a non-hollow shape,
(B) an arithmetic average roughness (dry Ra value) of a surface of the porous fiber in a dry state is 11 nm or more and 30 nm or less,
(C) an arithmetic average roughness (wet Ra value) of a surface of the porous fiber in a wet state is 12 nm or more and 40 nm or less,
(D) a value represented by wet Ra/dry Ra is 1.05 or more, and
(E) a linear rate of the fiber bundle represented by (length of fiber bundle)/(length of one porous fiber) is 0.97 or more and 1.00 or less.

PEROVSKITE SOLAR CELL PROVIDED WITH AN ADSORBENT MATERIAL FOR ADSORBING TOXIC MATERIALS
The present invention concerns a perovskite solar cell provided with a polymer-porous template composite material for absorbing toxic metal ions. Preferably, the porous template material is a metal oxide framework (MOF) material. An example of a preferred polymer-porous template composite material is PDA-Fe-BTC (polydopamine-Fe1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate). In experiments mimicking breakage of the solar cell modules, the presence of the polymer-MOF material was shown to result in the capture of lead and thus to reduced leakage of lead.
