Autoclave Reactor System Comprising an Agitator with Polycrystalline Diamond Bearings
An autoclave reactor having polycrystalline diamond bearings. The autoclave reactor can include a housing for containing at least one reaction material therein, a motor disposed within the housing, an agitator connected to the motor for stirring the at least one material within the housing, the agitator having a shaft connected to the motor at one end thereof, and at least one bearing disposed adjacent to the shaft or adjacent to the connection of the shaft to the motor, the at least one bearing being made of polycrystalline diamond. A process for making low density polyethylene (LDPE) can include introducing ethylene to the autoclave reactor disclosed herein and polymerizing the ethylene within a housing of the reactor to provide the low density polyethylene.
Error detection during hybridisation of target double-stranded nucleic acid
A series of hybridisations is performed for forming a target double-stranded nucleic acid from initial fragments, where each further hybridisation step hybridises the direct products of a pair of earlier hybridisation steps. For at least one further hybridisation step H.sub.F, both of the corresponding pair of earlier hybridisation steps H.sub.E comprise an error-detecting type of hybridisation step, which includes an error detecting operation to detect whether the hybridised fragments formed in the error-detecting type of hybridisation step H.sub.E comprise at least one erroneous hybridised fragment, and discarding at least part of the erroneous fragment to exclude it from a subsequent further hybridisation step. By detecting and removing erroneous fragments throughout a staged and controlled hybridisation process, erroneous fragments are prevented from diluting the pool of error-free fragments at each hybridisation step, to improve yield.

Dual mobile phase apparatus and method
An apparatus and system for contacting a mobile elongate solid phase, e.g. a ribbon with a flowing fluid phase, and a method for using the same in, for example solid phase synthesis. A particular apparatus comprises (i) a conduit which is of circular or non-circular transverse cross section and which defines a lumen to contain both the flowing fluid phase and the mobile elongate solid phase; (ii) fluid phase ports in communication with the lumen to allow the fluid phase to enter the lumen, flow through it and exit it; and (iii) solid phase ports in communication with the lumen to allow the mobile solid phase to enter the lumen, move through it and exit it, the apparatus being adapted to prevent fluid egress from its interior through the solid phase ports.
Compositions and methods for single molecular placement on a substrate
Provided herein are methods and compositions for placing single target molecules on a patterned substrate.
Nanochannel arrays and their preparation and use for high throughput macromolecular analysis
Nanochannel arrays that enable high-throughput macromolecular analysis are disclosed. Also disclosed are methods of preparing nanochannel arrays and nanofluidic chips. Methods of analyzing macromolecules, such as entire strands of genomic DNA, are also disclosed, as well as systems for carrying out these methods.

SYSTEMS AND APPROACHES FOR DRUG PROCESSING
A drug processing system includes a workstation, at least one deck module movably positionable within the workstation, at least one filter plate operably coupled with the at least one deck module, an agitating member, and a liquid handler member. The at least one filter plate has a plurality of wells to receive a fluid therein. The agitating member is adapted to move the at least one filter plate according to an agitation system. The liquid handler member is adapted to selectively add a fluid to at least one of the plurality of wells and/or remove a fluid from the at least one of the plurality of wells according to a liquid handling system. The agitating member is adapted to move the at least one filter plate while the liquid handler member selectively adds and/or removes the fluid from the at least one of the plurality of wells.
