Systems and methods for synthesizing chemical products, including active pharmaceutical ingredients
Systems and methods for synthesizing chemical products, including active pharmaceutical ingredients, are provided. Certain of the systems and methods described herein are capable of manufacturing multiple chemical products without the need to fluidically connect or disconnect unit operations when switching from one making chemical product to making another chemical product.
PRESSED SILICON CARBIDE CERAMIC (SIC) FLUIDIC MODULES WITH INTEGRATED HEAT EXCHANGE
A silicon carbide flow reactor fluidic module comprises a monolithic closed-porosity silicon carbide body, a tortuous fluid passage extending through the silicon carbide body, the tortuous fluid passage having an interior surface, and one or more thermal control fluid passages also extending through the silicon carbide body, the interior surface having a surface roughness of less than 10 μm Ra. A process for forming such modules is also disclosed.
Preparation method for polyol and application of polyol in making polyurethane
A method for preparing a polyol comprises the following steps of: (1) dissolving 2,3 -epoxybutane and an acid catalyst in an inert solvent to obtain a solution A; dissolving triethylene glycol in an inert solvent to obtain a solution B; and dissolving epoxy vegetable oil in an inert solvent to obtain a solution C; (2) respectively and simultaneously pumping the solutions A and B into a first micromixer for mixing; (3) pumping the solution C and an effluent of the first microreactor into a second micromixer for mixing while carrying out step (2); and (4) dissolving the vegetable oil polyol in an inert solvent to obtain a solution D; dissolving epoxypropane and an alkaline catalyst in an inert solvent to obtain a solution E; and pumping the solution D and the solution E into a tank reactor for reaction, thereby obtaining the polyol.
CONTINUOUS SOLID-STATE POLYMERIZATION PROCESS AND REACTOR COLUMN FOR USE THEREIN
The invention relates to a continuous solid-state polymerization process for preparing a polyamide derived from diamine and dicarboxylic acid, wherein the salt is polymerized in a reactor column comprising successive multifunctional zones comprising heating sections and gas-outlet sections, and a residence zone comprising at least one gas-inlet section, wherein the heating sections comprise static heat exchangers. The invention also relates to the reactor column and use thereof in a continuous solid-state polymerization process.
Method and system for manufacturing of biopharmaceutical products
The present disclosure relates to a volume tailorable manufacturing system for quality assured manufacturing of biosafety level classified biopharmaceutical products and a method for tailoring a production volume capability of a manufacturing system. The volume tailorable manufacturing system comprises one or more multi-product suites and a control facility configured to control a unidirectional flow in a circulation system of the one or more multi-product suites. The circulation system is configured to interconnect the one or more multi-product suites and comprises separated supply and return systems. The supply system comprising at least one inlet, the return system comprising at least one outlet that is paired with the inlet and provided at a spatially predetermined position from the inlet, and each inlet/outlet pair comprises a seal when not connected to an adjacent multi-product suite.

Process-intensified flow reactor
A flow reactor has a module having a process fluid passage with an interior surface, a portion of the passage including a cross section along the portion having a cross-sectional shape, and a cross-sectional area with multiple minima along the passage. The cross-sectional shape varies continually along the portion and the interior surface of the portion includes either no pairs of opposing flat parallel sides or only pairs of opposing flat parallel sides which extend for a length of no more than 4 times a distance between said opposing flat parallel sides along the portion and the portion contains a plurality of obstacles distributed along the portion.
INTEGRATED MICRO-REACTORS FOR HYDROGEN SYNTHESIS VIA METHANE REFORMING
A micro-reactor for a reforming process has a cold side and a hot side opposite the cold side. Inlets are defined in the cold side, the inlets configured for receiving reagents. An outlet is defined in the cold side, the outlet configured for exiting reforming products. A reforming chamber is in the hot side, the reforming chamber having a catalyst, the reforming chamber configured for reforming the reagents into the reforming products, the reforming chamber including channels extending toward an end surface on the hot side of the reforming chamber, and a return plenum. A reagent path is from the inlets to the reforming chamber, the reagent path configured to feed the plurality of channels with reagents. A reforming product path is from the reforming chamber to the outlet, the reforming product path configured to receive products from the return plenum.
