APPARATUS AND METHOD
A channel assembly is disclosed, which may comprise a microfluidic channel. Methods of manufacture are also disclosed as are detectors and detector components which may comprise such a channel assembly. An example is a detection apparatus comprising: a detector for detecting a substance of interest; and a pneumatic system comprising a microfluidic channel assembly comprising a first microfluidic channel for dispensing vapour to the detector, wherein the first microfluidic channel comprises a groove in a surface of a polymer body and a wall of the first channel is provided by a film bonded to the surface of the body over the groove.
Pressure sensor, measuring device, reaction carrier and measuring method
A pressure sensor (100) for a measuring system (10) measuring concentrations of gaseous and/or aerosol components of a gas mixture with a reaction carrier (14), with a flow channel (42). The flow channel (42) forms a reaction chamber (46) with a reactant (48), that enters into an optically detectable reaction, and with a measuring device (12) with a gas port unit (5) connecting an inlet channel (16) and an outlet channel (18) to the flow channel (42) and a gas delivery unit (28). The pressure sensor (100) measures a pressure difference of a gas mixture flowing through the gas delivery assembly unit (2) and/or the flow channel (42) of the reaction carrier (14) and has an elastic element (102), which is configured to undergo deformation as a function of the pressure difference. A measuring method, a measuring device and a reaction carrier for such a measuring system are also provided.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CLAMPING A MICROFLUIDIC DEVICE
An apparatus suitable for clamping at least one microfluidic device, which includes (i) a fluid-tight chamber having a fluid inlet, the chamber being configured to receive a microfluidic device to be clamped by compression of at least one deformable part of the microfluidic device under the action of a pressure of a clamping fluid in the chamber, and (ii) a perfusion fluid management system configured to adjust the pressure of a perfusion fluid in the microfluidic device in such a way that, during a clamping operation, the pressure of the clamping fluid in the chamber is strictly higher than the pressure of the perfusion fluid in the microfluidic device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HANDLING MICROFLUIDIC DROPLETS
The invention generally relates to assemblies for displacing droplets from a vessel that facilitate the collection and transfer of the droplets while minimizing sample loss. In certain aspects, the assembly includes at least one droplet formation module, in which the module is configured to form droplets surrounded by an immiscible fluid. The assembly also includes at least one chamber including an outlet, in which the chamber is configured to receive droplets and an immiscible fluid, and in which the outlet is configured to receive substantially only droplets. The assembly further includes a channel, configured such that the droplet formation module and the chamber are in fluid communication with each other via the channel. In other aspects, the assembly includes a plurality of hollow members, in which the hollow members are channels and in which the members are configured to interact with a vessel. The plurality of hollow members includes a first member configured to expel a fluid immiscible with droplets in the vessel and a second member configured to substantially only droplets from the vessel. The assembly also includes a main channel, in which the second member is in fluid communication with the main channel. The assembly also includes at least one analysis module connected to the main channel.
Flow reactor
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a flow reactor that can ensure safety even if leakage occurs at the connections of the lines. The flow reactor of the present invention is characterized by including one or more line structures, each of the line structures including a raw material feeding line, a reactor unit to react a raw material fed from the raw material feeding line, and a discharge line to discharge a reaction product produced in the reactor unit, wherein the flow reactor includes a vessel in which part or all of the reactor unit and a fluid are accommodated to be capable of being in contact with each other, wherein each of the line structures includes two or more attachable and detachable connections, and wherein at least one of the attachable and detachable connections is accommodated in the vessel.
Microreactor system
A microreactor system that can mix fluids at precise timing has two inlets into which fluids are introduced and merges, in a channel, a first fluid introduced from a first inlet and a second fluid introduced from a second inlet, a first pump that sends the first fluid toward the inlets, and a second pump that sends the second fluid toward the inlets, a first fluid detector that detects an arrival of the first fluid at the first inlet, and a second fluid detector that detects an arrival of the second fluid at the second inlet.

Laminated, leak-resistant chemical processors, methods of making, and methods of operating
The invention provides methods of making laminated devices (especially microchannel devices) in which plates are assembled and welded together. Unlike conventional microchannel devices, the inventive laminated devices can be made without brazing or diffusion bonding; thus providing significant advantages for manufacturing. Features such as expansion joints and external welded supports are also described. Laminated devices and methods of conducting unit operations in laminated devices are also described.
