Process for the Commercial Production of High-Quality Catalyst Material
The present invention describes an improved process for the commercial scale production of high-quality catalyst materials. These improved processes allow for production of catalysts that have very consistent batch to batch property and performance variations. In addition these improved processes allow for minimal production losses (by dramatically reducing the production of fines or small materials as part of the production process). The improved process involves multiple steps and uses calcining ovens that allow for precisely control temperature increases where the catalyst is homogenously heated. The calcining gas is released into a separate heating chamber, which contains the recirculation fan and the heat source. Catalysts that may be produced using this improved process include but are not limited to catalysts that promote CO hydrogenation, reforming catalysts, Fischer Tropsch Catalysts, Greyrock GreyCat™ catalysts, catalysts that homologate methanol, catalysts that promote hydrogenation of carbon compounds, and other catalysts used in industry.
Preparation method and application of zero-valent aluminum/iron-bearing clay composite for catalyzing persulfate to oxidize organics
A preparation method and application of a zero-valent aluminum/iron-bearing clay composite for catalyzing a persulfate to oxidize organics are provided, which belongs to the field of water environmental treatment. A novel catalyst is prepared by an iron-bearing clay and a zero-valent aluminum through a simple ball milling method, for achieving the effect of activating a persulfate to efficiently oxidize and degrade refractory organics in water. The preparation method and operation process thereof are simple. Compared with a chemical synthesis method, the method of the present disclosure brings about less secondary pollution, and has a shorter synthesis time, higher yield and lower cost. The modified material is the natural iron-bearing clay, which is widely available, non-toxic and stable as a heterogeneous catalyst.

Method of preparing wide-temperature catalyst for preferential oxidation of carbon monoxide in hydrogen-enriched atmosphere, and product and use lthereof
This invention provides a preparation method of a catalyst for preferential oxidization of CO in a hydrogen-enriched atmosphere, and a catalyst product obtained from the method and its applications thereof. Particularly, in this invention, a wide-temperature catalyst for preferential oxidization of CO in a hydrogen-enriched atmosphere is obtained by depositing one or more of an iron oxide, cobalt oxide, and nickel oxide as a promoter onto the surface of a supported Pt-group noble metal catalyst precursor via chemical vapor deposition or atomic layer deposition. In the wide-temperature catalyst, the active noble metal component has a content of 0.1 to 10 wt %, and the promoter has a content of 0.1 to 10 wt % in terms of the metal element thereof. In the reaction of preferential oxidation of CO in a hydrogen-enriched atmosphere, the catalyst prepared by this invention can exhibit excellent catalytic performance and can achieve high conversion of CO with high selectivity in a wide temperature range of −80 to 200° C., for example. Also, the catalyst can remain stable for a long time even in a case where steam and CO.sub.2 are present in the hydrogen-enriched atmosphere.
