Catalysts for Producing Isocyanurates from Isocyanates
The invention relates to a method for producing isocyanurates and isocyanurate-containing polyurethanes, comprising the step of reacting an isocyanate in the presence of a catalyst.
Hydrotreating catalyst with a titanium containing carrier and sulfur containing organic additive
Generally, it is disclosed a catalyst for use in a hydrotreating hydrocarbon feedstocks and the method of making such catalyst. It is generically provided that the catalyst comprises at least one Group VIB metal component, at least one Group VIII metal component, about (1) to (about (30) wt % C, and preferably about (1) to about (20) wt % C, and more preferably about (5) to about 15 wt % C of one or more sulfur containing organic additive and a titanium-containing carrier component, wherein the amount of the titanium component is in the range of about (3) to (about (60) wt %, expressed as an oxide (Ti0.sub.2) and based on the total weight of the catalyst. The titanium-containing carrier is formed by co-extruding or precipitating a titanium source with a Al203 precursor to form a porous support material comprising Al.sub.20.sub.3 or by impregnating a titanium source onto a porous support material comprising Al.sub.20.sub.3.
METHODS OF SYNTHESIZING CANNABIGERGOL, CANNABIGEROLIC ACID, AND ANALOGS THEREOF
Disclosed are methods for preparing cannabigerol (CBG) or a CBG analog, embodiments of the method comprising providing a compound (I); combining the compound (I) with geraniol and a solvent to form a reaction mixture; and combining the reaction mixture with an acid catalyst to form a product mixture comprising the CBG or the CBG homolog. The method may further comprise separating the CBG or the CBG analog from the product mixture and may further comprise purifying the CBG or CBG analog. Methods for preparing cannabigerolic acid (CBGA) or a cannabigerolic acid analog are also disclosed. The present disclosure also provides highly purity CBG, CBGA, and analogs thereof.
It is generically provided that the catalyst comprises at least one Group VIB metal component, at least one Group VIII metal component, about 1 to about 30 wt % C, and preferably about 1 to about 20 wt % C, and more preferably about 5 to about 15 wt % C of one or more sulfur containing organic additive and a titanium-containing carrier component, wherein the amount of the titanium component is in the range of about 3 to about 60 wt %, expressed as an oxide (TiO.sub.2) and based on the total weight of the catalyst. The titanium-containing carrier is formed by co-extruding or precipitating a titanium source with a Al.sub.2O.sub.3 precursor to form a porous support material comprising Al.sub.2O.sub.3 or by impregnating a titanium source onto a porous support material comprising Al.sub.2O.sub.3.
Catalyzed and green process of malathion
The present invention relates to an improved synthesis of malathion. The presence of an acid facilitates the reaction between O,O-dimethyldithiophosphoric acid (O,O-DMDTPA) and maleate and leads to excellent product yield in shorter reaction time with fewer impurities.

ACTIVE COMPONENT CARRIER COMPOSITION, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE OF CATALYST MATERIALS
An active component carrier composition is disclosed comprising a mixture of one or more catalytically active components and one or more oxidized disulfide oil (ODSO) compounds, including a water-soluble fraction of ODSO. In certain embodiments the ODSO is obtained from the effluent of an enhanced MEROX process. The active component carrier composition facilitates transfer of catalytically active components (or components that will be catalytically active in the finished solid catalyst material) onto the surface of support materials.
