A connected ecosystem for a laboratory environment comprises an electronic lab notebook, and instrumented biosafety cabinet, and one or more sensing vessels containing cell cultures. The electronic lab notebook interfaces with the instrumented biosafety cabinet to provide instructions, guidance, and monitoring of a user during the set up of the experimental protocol and to receive commands from the user via one of several input modalities. After the experimental protocol has been set up in the instrumented biosafety cabinet, cell cultures may be moved to an incubator where the connected ecosystem may provide automatic monitoring of the cultures. The automatic monitoring is provided by sensors integrated into cell culture vessels and supplemented by images of the cell cultures captured by a camera. The user may be informed of deviations from expected results detected based on the automatic monitoring.
BIOLOGICAL SAMPLE ANALYZER WITH AUTOMATIC THERMAL COOLING ADJUSTMENT FOR ALTITUDE
A method and biological sample analyzer is described that adjusts airflow within a housing based upon altitude. A first volume of air is moved by at least one fan within a housing of a biological sample analyzer. A temperature of the first volume of air is measured within the biological sample analyzer with a temperature sensor within the housing of the biological sample. Power output of at least one heater positioned within the housing of the biological sample analyzer is measured. The measured power output of the at least one heater is analyzed at the measured temperature within the biological sample analyzer. And, the fan is adjusted to move a second volume of air different from the first volume of air by comparing the measured power output of the at least one heater and expected power output of the at least one heater.
Work hood
The present invention provides a work hood that allows for free rotation in a work box to provide a wide work area and easy decontamination of a sealing portion present at the boundary between the work hood and the work box. A rotation support for rotatably supporting the entire half suit is provided. The rotation support includes a base portion, a rotating portion, a bearing portion, a sealing member, and a communication hole. The base portion is airtightly and annularly provided around an opening, and the rotating portion is provided around the base portion through the bearing portion, with a hem portion of the half suit being fixed to the rotating portion. The sealing member is annularly provided in an annular space formed by the base portion and the rotating portion so as to separate the work box and the external environment. The communication hole is provided so as to lead to the external environmental side from the annular small space side formed by the sealing member together with the base portion, the rotating portion, and the bearing portion, and is connected to a supply means for supplying a decontamination gas and the like to the inside of the small space and to a suction means for sucking clean air and the like from the inside of the small space.
TESTING SYSTEM
A testing system collects a specimen from a subject and measures the collected specimen to test the specimen, and includes a box to allow at least one of specimen collection for collecting and receiving the specimen, preprocessing for processing the collected specimen before measurement, or specimen measurement for measuring the preprocessed specimen to be performed therein.
Low-temperature storage plant with a nitrogen withdrawal apparatus
A storage plant for storing objects at the temperature of liquid nitrogen comprises a plurality of storage tanks arranged in a cooled chamber. A nitrogen withdrawal apparatus is provided to carry off evaporated nitrogen directly from the storage tanks before it can enter the chamber. The pressure in the storage tanks is kept below the pressure in the chamber.
METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING AT LEAST ONE FILLING NEEDLE OF A NUMBER OF FILLING NEEDLES INTO AN ASEPTIC ISOLATOR
A method for transferring at least one filling needle of a number of filling needles into an isolator which has a transfer lock, the method having the following steps: providing a first needle carrier within the transfer lock, said needle carrier carrying the number of filling needles; providing a second needle carrier in a first position within the isolator; robot-assisted transferring of the at least one filling needle of the number of filling needles from the first needle carrier to the second needle carrier; and robot-assisted placing of the at least one filling needle of the number of filling needles in the second needle carrier, wherein the at least one filling needle of the number of filling needles is held directly during the robot-assisted placing. A transfer system, in which such a method can be conducted, is also disclosed.
Systems and methods for conducting electrochemical impedance spectroscopy
A system for measuring electrical characteristics of bioparticles is described. The system comprises an incubator for performing electrochemical measurements in a defined environment and a substrate holder positioned in said incubator for holding a substrate comprising a plurality of wells. The system is furthermore configured for continuously or regularly measuring electrochemical data. The system also comprises a processing means for comparing the continuously or regularly measured electrochemical data with reference data and for determining a moment for adding an active compound based on said comparison.
Device for Sealed Transfer Between Two Enclosed Volumes, Featuring Secure Opening
The invention relates to a sealed transfer device between two enclosed volumes, comprising two flanges (10, 20) that can be secured to each other by a first bayonet connection, two doors (11, 21) which close off the passage openings defined by the flanges and can be secured to each other by a second bayonet connection, and a control mechanism comprising a control member (3) that is movably mounted on the first flange (10) between a closed position and an open position of the doors (11, 21), characterized in that the control mechanism comprises a member (7) for locking the second door (21) to the first door (11), ensuring that the doors are locked together when the control member (3) switches into the open position of the first and second doors, said locking member (7) being integrated into the first door (11).
