Selective and High-Resolution Printing of Single Cells
Methods for on-demand printing discrete entities including, e.g., cells, media or reagents to substrates are provided. In certain aspects, the methods include manipulating qualities of the entities or biological components thereof. In some embodiments, the methods may be used to create arrays of microenvironments and/or for two and three-dimensional printing of tissues or structures and/or for in situ printing for microsurgeries. Systems and devices for practicing the subject methods are also provided.
Microfluidic device and detection method therefor
A microfluidic device and a detection method for the microfluidic device are provided. The microfluidic device includes a driving substrate configured to drive a movement of a droplet; and a position detector configured to detect a position of the droplet on the driving substrate.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR METERING MINIMUM LIQUID QUANTITIES
In a method for metering minimum liquid quantities, a vessel closed in a pressure-tight manner is acted on by compressed air to transport liquid from the vessel through a transfer tubing to a metering valve.

A sensing cell culture vessel having one or more sensors on or in the vessel is configured to collect readings of various parameters or characteristics of a cell culture located within the sensing cell culture vessel and transmit the readings. The sensing cell culture vessels may be accompanied by a sensing plate having means for reading the one or more sensors and transmitting the one or more sensors to a server hosting electronic lab notebook for analyzing and storage of the readings. Sensing plates may further be equipped with cameras for imaging cell cultures located in the sensing cell culture vessels and transmitting the images to the server hosting the electronic lab notebook for analyzing and storage of the images. Embodiments of the invention allow for the continuous and automatic monitoring of cell cultures.
Clean Air Apparatus
In a state where an operator performs operation using a safety cabinet while confirming standard operating procedures and sample data, a display device such as a monitor screen provided in the safety cabinet is arranged at a position that is not subject to effects of deterioration due to diffused reflection of light from a fluorescent lamp or sterilization lamp irradiation, and that does not generate resistance in an airflow path, while also protecting the display device from decontamination operation and preventing dirt from being adhered to a portion related to display. Transparent windows are provided on both a portion of a back wall or a side wall of a work space in the safety cabinet and a portion of a rear wall or a side wall of the body of the safety cabinet separated from the back wall or the side wall of the work space by a circulation flow path, which allow the operator to see through both walls, and the display device is placed on an outer side portion of the transparent window provided at the portion of the rear wall or the side wall of the body of the safety cabinet.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR SAMPLE CHARACTERIZATION
Devices and methods for characterization of analyte mixtures are provided. Some methods described herein include performing enrichment steps on a device before expelling enriched analyte fractions from the device for subsequent analysis. Also included are devices for performing these enrichment steps.
Apparatus for Detecting Analyte in a Liquid Sample and Method Thereof
The present invention provides an apparatus for detecting the presence or absence of an analyte in liquid sample, including: a collection chamber, including an opening for collecting a liquid sample; a testing element for testing the analyte in liquid sample; and a cover for covering the opening of the collection chamber; wherein the apparatus further includes a prompting device for prompting if the cover is covered to a specified location, and the prompting device shall at least includes a first element and a second element, the first element is in contact with the second element, wherein one element vibrates to produce a sound. In some preferred ways, the second element produces friction with the first element, to cause one of the elements to generate vibrations. The apparatus in the present invention can allow the prompting sound to be clear and loud.
REAL-TIME THERMOCYCLER WITH ADJUSTABLE EXCITATION UNIT
The present disclosure provides a real-time thermocycler, comprising: a well for storing a sample comprising a target and fluorescence molecules, a thermal unit for adjusting a temperature of the sample, an excitation unit for exciting the fluorescence molecules of the sample via radiation, a detection unit for detecting a fluorescence signal from the sample, and a controller for controlling the excitation unit to adjust an intensity of the excitation of the sample based on information about the target, such that the fluorescence signal is in a working range of the detection unit.
Automatic analyzer
The automatic analyzer includes a light source 4a to perform measurement, a spectrophotometer 4, a reagent disk 9 to store a reagent bottle 10 in which the reagent is stored, a carriage device to carry the reagent bottle 10 to the reagent disk 9, a reagent preparation unit to perform preparatory operations required before the regent bottle 10 is used, and a control unit 21 to schedule the preparatory operations by the reagent preparation unit and the carriage operation by the carriage device such that the reagent bottle 10 is carried to the reagent disk 9 immediately after an operation accompanied with analysis by the light source 4a and the spectrophotometer 4 is suspended or ends.
Apparatuses and Methods for Operating a Digital Microfluidic Device
