System and method for fluid delivery

A system and method of fluid delivery for providing a surface fluid pattern. The system includes a fluid delivery head for fluid flow therethrough. The fluid delivery head includes a fluid delivery surface having surface openings defined therein and arranged across the fluid delivery surface as a two-dimensional display. Some of the surface openings are grouped as a surface opening unit. The surface opening unit includes at least one aspiration opening through which fluid can be provided to the fluid delivery surface and at least one injection opening through which fluid can be moved away from the fluid delivery surface. The surface opening unit includes at least three surface openings positioned as a two-dimensional display and outwardly of at least one other surface opening.

FREEZE-DRYING APPARATUS AND METHOD
20220410148 · 2022-12-29 · ·

A process for freeze drying a material. The process has the steps of (a) placing material to be freeze-dried in a vessel, the vessel comprising a container having a base, and at least one wall defining an opening at one end; (b) applying a membrane to the at least one wall to thereby cover the opening, wherein the membrane comprises an aperture which, in use, is aligned with the opening; and (c) subjecting the vessel to a lyophilisation procedure, wherein the membrane is in place on the container during the lyophilisation procedure.

GENOME EXTRACTION DEVICE OF DUAL CHAMBER STRUCTURE IN WHICH OUTER CHAMBER AND BEAD CHAMBER ARE COMBINED WITH EACH OTHER

Provided is a genome extraction device to which a dual chamber structure of an outer chamber and a bead chamber is applied, more particularly a genome extraction device to which the above-described dual chamber structure is applied so that the performance of dry beads vulnerable to moisture can be maintained for a long time.

FLUID CONTAINER COVER
20220401958 · 2022-12-22 · ·

A cover for a fluid container having an essentially plane cover plate for closing at least one opening of at least one fluid container and at least two ports, and each port has a through channel extending through the entire thickness of the cover plate and a fluid impermeable first membrane is arranged over the entire cross section of the through channel of the first port and an at least gas permeable second membrane is arranged over the entire cross section of the through channel of the second port is disclosed.

Device for sample analysis

A device for analysing a sample comprising a nucleic acid to be captured and detected using a test strip are described. The device comprises a resilient biasing member disposed in an analysis chamber containing the test strip. The resilient biasing member exerts a force against the test strip sufficient to urge it into the sample chamber when it is in communication with the analysis chamber. This ensures that the test strip is reliably introduced into the sample chamber when it is in communication with the analysis chamber. In one embodiment, the sample chamber comprises guide members for guiding the test strip into the sample chamber. A free end of each guide member is shaped to prevent significant rotation of the test strip, so that the test strip is in correct alignment in the sample chamber for automatic reading of the test result, for example by a camera or optical reader.

Microfluidic system for sperm separation and enrichment from various types of sperm samples

A method for separating and enriching sperm from a tissue sample comprises: obtaining a microfluidic separating system having an inlet end and an outlet end, and a membrane filter (e.g., hollow fiber membrane filter) fluidly connected to the outlet end; separating the tissue sample via the microfluidic separating system into a debris fluid volume and a sperm fluid volume; and enriching the sperm fluid volume by removing excess media via the membrane filter. A two-stage tissue sample separation system comprising: a microchannel structure defining a separation fluid channel to form a separation stage; an inlet end of the microchannel structure; an outlet end of the microchannel structure; and a membrane filter fluidly connected to the outlet end for removal of at least a portion of excess media in the tissue sample.
