CAP FOR A PATHOGEN SAMPLE TUBE
The invention is a cap for a pathogen sample tube, the tube having an open end and the cap being configured to secure the open end of the tube to prevent spillage of any sample stored in the tube. The cap includes a first pierceable protective film section configured to enable an automated pipette or other sample withdrawal system to pierce the protective film section and to aspirate at least some of the sample. The cap also includes a second pierceable protective film section lying underneath the first pierceable protective film section; the film sections are separated by an air gap, that is approximately 2 mm in depth. The film sections are made from a thin aluminium foil that is approximately 25 microns thick, with a thin lacquer coating on its upper side and a co-extrusion coating, such as a polymer coating, on the lower side.
BLISTER PACK AND BLISTER PACK HOLDER
A blister pack may include a containing body with an opening; and a lid sealed over the opening and provided with a weakening pattern, wherein a width of the lid at the weakening pattern is thinner that a width of the lid elsewhere, and wherein the lid is configured to burst at the weakening pattern when the blister pack is subjected to pressure, so as to allow liquid content inside the containing body to be discharged out of the blister pack through the burst weakening pattern. A blister pack holder is also disclosed.
GENOME EXTRACTION DEVICE INCLUDING SAFETY CLIP COMBINED WITH INNER CHAMBER
Provided is a genome extraction device including a safety clip combined with an inner chamber, more particularly a genome extraction device to which the above-described dual chamber structure is applied so that the genome extraction device can be stored stably for a long time without the risk of reagent leakage and an inner chamber is moved up and down by way of vibration generated during a production and distribution process of a product so that a sealing member for sealing upper openings and lower openings of the inner chamber can be prevented from being perforated.
Sealed Container Provided With A Bi-Material Flange
The invention relates to a sealed container (1) comprising a container body (2) having a through-hole (8) that is delimited by a flange and is closed by a removable door (7) mounted on the flange and an annular seal located between the flange and the door (7), characterized in that the flange consists of two separate concentric sleeves, one of the sleeves defining an outer flange body (5) arranged to allow a connection of the container body (2) to a flange having a complementary shape on an enclosure, the other sleeve defining an inner flange body (6) arranged to allow a connection of the door (7) to the flange, the outer flange body (5) being made entirely or partially of a resistant plastic material selected from plastics that are resistant to autoclave sterilization cycles, while the inner flange body (6) is made of a metal alloy.
BLOOD COLLECTION TUBE FOR MEASURING BLOOD VISCOSITY, BLOOD VISCOSITY MEASUREMENT DEVICE, AND SEALED PACK OF BLOOD COLLECTION TUBE FOR MEASURING BLOOD VISCOSITY
A blood-viscosity measurement blood collection tube includes a bottomed tube provided with an opening at one end in a length direction and a bottom at the other in the length direction, and a sealing plug. The sealing plug includes a sealing part fitted in the opening of the bottomed tube in a hermetically sealed state, a cap part, and a thin connecting part. The sealing part includes a vertically penetrated insertion hole. The sealing part of the sealing plug is fitted in the opening of the bottomed tube, and an inner space of the bottomed tube is in a negative pressure state. The cap part is configured to be removed from the sealing plug by breaking the connecting part with an external force applied to the cap part, and the insertion hole is exposed at an upper surface of the sealing part when the cap part has been removed.
Cell isolation instrument
Provided is a cell isolation instrument capable of smoothly performing a plurality of steps associated with isolation of cells, including gripping of a biological tissue, transferring of the biological tissue, and isolating of the biological tissue. A container has an opening. A sealing member seals the opening. A pair of pinching parts is connected to the sealing member, and the pair of pinching parts opens or closes by being pressed.
Systems and methods for biological analysis
A system for performing biological reactions is provided. The system includes a chip including a substrate and a plurality of reaction sites. The plurality of reaction sites are each configured to include a liquid sample of at most one nanoliter. Further, the system includes a control system configured to initiate biological reactions within the liquid samples. The system further includes a detection system configured to detect biological reactions on the chip. According to various embodiments, the chip includes at least 20000 reaction sites. In other embodiments, the chip includes at least 30000 reaction sites.
ONLINE CHLORINE ANALYZER
An embodiment provides an apparatus, including: a cartridge including a base and a lid; at least one fluid line located between the base and the lid of the cartridge; at least one heating element located either on the base or the lid and aligned in intimate contact with the at least one fluid line; at least one heat sensing element in intimate contact with the at least one fluid line, where the at least one heat sensing element is spaced downstream from the at least one heating element; a supply of power to the cartridge; and a processor in electrical communication with the cartridge that executes a program of instructions to: operate the at least one heating element to produce heating of the at least one fluid line at a first position; and operate the at least one heat sensing element to detect the heat of a fluid within the at least one fluid line at a position downstream of the first position. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
BARRIER ISOLATOR
An isolator comprises a manipulation chamber isolated from the external atmosphere, a door for opening and closing a portal formed on the manipulation chamber, a linear guide mechanism for guiding a linear motion of a front-side edge of the door along the portal, and a rotation guide mechanism defining a rotation of the door about an axis coinciding with the front-side edge. The door is closed by positioning the front-side edge at the front side of the manipulation chamber, and the door is opened inward into the manipulation chamber by moving the front-side edge toward the back side while rotating the door about the front-side edge.
Apparatus for Detecting Analyte in a Liquid Sample and Method Thereof
The present invention provides an apparatus for detecting the presence or absence of an analyte in liquid sample, including: a collection chamber, including an opening for collecting a liquid sample; a testing element for testing the analyte in liquid sample; and a cover for covering the opening of the collection chamber; wherein the apparatus further includes a prompting device for prompting if the cover is covered to a specified location, and the prompting device shall at least includes a first element and a second element, the first element is in contact with the second element, wherein one element vibrates to produce a sound.
