System and method for automated single cell processing
A system and method for automated single cell capture and processing is described, where the system includes a deck supporting and positioning a set of sample processing elements; a gantry for actuating tools for interactions with the set of sample processing elements supported by the deck; and a base supporting various processing subsystems and a control subsystems in communication with the processing subsystems. The system can automatically execute workflows associated with single cell processing, including mRNA capture, cDNA synthesis, protein-associated assays, and library preparation, for next generation sequencing.
BIOPSY SAMPLE CONTAINER
An apparatus for individually storing multiple tissue samples separately from each other includes a base, a lid, a lock, and one or more vents. The base defines a plurality of reservoirs and a plurality of identification areas. A portion of the base defines an opening corresponding to each reservoir. The lid is configured to secure the multiple tissue samples within a corresponding reservoir by enclosing each corresponding opening in the closed configuration. The lock is configured to selectively lock the lid against the base in the closed configuration. The one or more vents are configured to enable entry of fluid into the reservoirs when the lid is in the closed configuration. The one or more vents are further configured to prevent exit of tissue samples from the reservoirs when the lid is in the closed configuration.
VIAL WITH NON-ROUND SEAL
A moisture-tight, re-sealable container is disclosed having a lid and body. The lid and body have a non-round seal that is substantially moisture tight when the lid is seated on the body, admitting less than 1000 micrograms per day of water to a package. A reinforcement stiffens or reinforces at least a portion of the seal against inward deflection along an axis defined by the minor diameter when the lid is seated on the body. Optionally the reinforcement is at least one spline subdividing the reservoir. A method of making dispensers for objects of varying length to customize particular dispensers to dispense such objects of a particular length is also disclosed.
ENCLOSURES AND CORRESPONDING MAGNETIC JOINTS
Enclosures and corresponding magnetic joints. An apparatus includes an enclosure. The enclosure includes a magnetic panel joint formed by: an alignment bore disposed in one of the first end face and the second end face, an alignment dowel disposed in the other of the first end face and the second end face, a face magnet disposed in one of the first end face and the second end face, a face ferromagnetic segment disposed in the other of the first end face and the second end face, and a shield that extends from the second panel and is received in the first pocket, when the first panel and the second panel are removably secured to one another.
CASSETTE HOLDER
A cassette holder holds a cassette for medical use. It includes a cassette receiving portion that includes a bottom surface to which a lower surface of the cassette is brought into contact when the cassette is set, and a plate-shaped portion that is provided in the cassette receiving portion, has a substantially plate-like shape, and extends substantially parallel to the bottom surface, and a protrusion inside of which is hollow, the protrusion being provided to the bottom surface to protrude downward. The bottom surface and the protrusion are provided with a plurality of through holes.
ANTIBODY FLUID DEPOSITS
In one example an apparatus can include a controller communicatively coupled to a droplet dispenser to deposit antibody fluid on a matrix of an immunoblotting array, the controller is to align the droplet dispenser with a protein band included in the matrix, instruct the droplet dispenser to deposit a first antibody fluid on to the protein band of the matrix, and instruct the droplet dispenser to deposit a second antibody fluid on to the protein band of the matrix, adjacent to the first antibody fluid.
Automated processing systems and methods of thermally processing microscope slides
Methods and apparatus that enable drying and curing a plurality of specimens carried by a plurality of microscope slides. Slide carriers are positioned at a first position while the slide carrier holds the microscope slides. Each of the specimens can be carried by one of the microscope slides. The slide carrier can be robotically moved to move the slide carrier into a circulation loop defined by a heater apparatus. The specimens and/or microscope slides can be convectively heated while the slide carrier is located in the circulation loop.
A LOADING MACHINE FOR SLIDES PROVIDED WITH BIOLOGICAL SAMPLES
Disclosed is a loading machine for slides, provided with biological samples and with an electronically readable identification code, inside a tray divided, by means of separation structures, into multiple compartments, each compartment being adapted to contain one of the slides in an orderly manner. The loading machine includes: a supporting frame structure for resting on a work surface; a linear feeder of the tray with respect to the frame structure; an inserter of the slides into the tray in an orderly and sequential manner; a reader of the identification code provided on each of the slides; and a control unit. The inserter of the slides into the tray includes a unit to temporarily retain each slide and to release it, in coordination with the reader and linear feeder of the tray, into one of the compartments making use of gravity.
Platforms and systems for automated cell culture
Disclosed herein are platforms, systems, and methods including a cell culture system that includes a cell culture container comprising a cell culture, the cell culture receiving input cells, a cell imaging subsystem configured to acquire images of the cell culture, a computing subsystem configured to perform a cell culture process on the cell culture according to the images acquired by the cell imaging subsystem, and a cell editing subsystem configured to edit the cell culture to produce output cell products according to the cell culture process.
Biological sheet storage device
A biological sheet storage device includes a fixation arrangement and a storage box. The fixation arrangement includes a first carrier, a second carrier and a fixing piece. The first carrier is configured to carry a biological sheet and positioned on the second carrier. The fixing piece is configured to fix the first carrier on the second carrier. The storage box is configured to encapsulate the fixation arrangement carrying the biological sheet. A limiting mechanism for limiting the fixation arrangement is included in the storage box.
