A system includes a platform having an upper surface and defining a recess having a floor, the recess configured to seat a dish, and a movable securing frame that is movably connected with the platform, the frame including a lift support having an upper surface that is movable along a path from a first location that is beneath the floor of the recess, through the recess, to a second location that is coplanar with the upper surface of the platform. A motor configured to cause oscillation of the platform and the movable securing frame can be used. A method of using the system can include placing a dish above a recess defined by an upper surface of a platform, and lowering the frame with respect to the platform, thereby seating the dish within the recess.

There is provided an impact grinding assembly. The assembly, according to one aspect, includes a pair of conveyors for conveying at least partially unground material. Each conveyor has a lower portion and an upper portion which is spaced-apart above its lower portion. The assembly includes a pair of vibrating impact plates aligning below the upper portions of respective ones of the conveyors to receive the at least partially unground material. A first one of the impact plates operatively directs material thereon to the lower portion of a second one of the conveyors. A second one of the impact plates operatively directs material thereon to the lower portion of a first one of the conveyors. The impact grinding assembly may further include a material-separation assembly for removing material from the conveyors which has a particle size no greater than a desired particle size.

The present invention provides an application method for cold field plasma discharge assisted high energy ball milled powder and a plasma assisted high energy ball milling device using the method for cold field plasma high energy ball milled powder. The present invention generates plasma by using dielectric barrier discharge and introducing a dielectric barrier discharge electrode bar into a high-speed vibrating ball milling tank, which requires that, on one hand, a solid insulation medium on the outer layer of the electrode bar can simultaneously bear high-voltage discharge and mechanical shock failure of the grinding ball, and on the other hand, the high-speed vibrating ball milling device can uniformly process the powder. Based on the ordinary ball milling technology, the discharge space pressure is set to a non-thermal equilibrium discharge state with a pressure of about 10.sup.2 to 10.sup.6 Pa, discharge plasmas are introduced to input another kind of effective energy to the processed powder, so as to accelerate refinement of the powder to be processed and promote the alloying process under the combined action of the mechanical stress effect and the thermal effect of the external electric field, thereby greatly improving the processing efficiency and the effect of the ball mill.

According to the invention, the centre of gravity of the pendulum drive in a horizontal centre of gravity plane is substantially equidistant from both vibration axes.
