METHOD FOR DETECTING WEAR IN CRUSHERS DURING IDLE OPERATION
A method for detecting wear in crushers, having a wearing part (2) mounted on a drive shaft (1), during idle operation is described in which downtimes that impair crusher productivity can be eliminated and nevertheless reliable wear detection is made possible with low risk of injury to machine operators. The drive shaft (1) is accelerated from a starting angular speed (oil) to an end angular speed (ω2) with a specified acceleration, and the drive energy required for this is ascertained, whereupon the wear of the wearing part (2) is ascertained as the value assigned to the required drive energy in a specified wearing-part characteristic curve (3, 4, 5).
ROLLER CRUSHER AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THEREOF
A roller crusher having two generally parallel rollers arranged to rotate in opposite directions, towards each other, and separated by a gap, where each roller having two ends. The roller crusher includes a flange attached to at least one of the ends of one of the rollers. The roller crusher further includes at least one mechanical scraper and a remote material removal device configured to output a material removing beam towards a target area. The at least one mechanical scraper and the remote material removal device are arranged consecutive to each other at an end of the roller with a flange for at least partially removing material accumulated on the flange and/or on the outer surface at the end of the roller. A method for operating a roller crusher is also provided.
METHOD OF MONITORING HIGH-PRESSURE ROLLER PRESS
The invention relates to a method for monitoring the wear state of the rolling surfaces of a high-pressure roller press in the course of comminuting, compacting, or briquetting material. The roller press has two rotationally driven press rollers, between which a rolling gap is formed with a gap width that can be modified during operation. One of the press rollers is designed as a stationary roller, and one of the press rollers is designed as a loose roller, wherein the loose roller can be positioned against the stationary roller via a force generating means with a gap width which can be modified during operation, and the outer diameter of the press rollers or the is reduced due to wear during operation. The method is characterized in that the position of the loose roller is recorded as a function of time using at least one position sensor, the position data is stored on a computer, and the wear state of the rollers is ascertained from the measured position data using an algorithm.
Direct visual monitoring method and system for sensing the interior of a rotary mineral mill
A direct visual monitoring system for sensing the interior of a rotary mineral mill which comprises a monitoring unit, a main control unit and an operation and management unit wherein the monitoring unit is located inside a feed hopper and adjusted according to the physical characteristics of said feed hopper and in accordance with the dimensions of the mill, so as to allow for a direct view of the interior of the mill. The operating method comprises arranging inside a monitoring unit, a container of sensors for sensing the inner temperature thereof; determining the acceleration on the vertical axis, on the horizontal lateral axis and on the front horizontal axis, according to the time; obtaining two-dimensional images of the geometric conditions of the interior of the mill; obtaining two-dimensional thermal images of the interior of the mill and executing a detection of distance in one or more planes.
Method and system for component wear monitoring
A monitoring system includes a fastener. A sensor is coupled to the fastener. A circuit board is electrically coupled to the sensor. An antenna electrically coupled to the circuit board.
Liner assembly for ore grinding mill
The present invention provides a system and method for more efficient utilization of comminution mills. Sensors are provided in the liners placed within the mill shell. The sensors may include RFID tags, liner wear profile sensors (e.g., such as an ultrasonic sensor), an inertial sensor (preferably included both an inclinometer and an accelerometer, and an acoustic sensor, among others. When the liners are installed in the shell, the RFID tag is used to register the location of the liner within the shell. In operation, the information provided by the sensors is collected by a data transmission unit and sent by transmitter over the air to a computer having an antenna and receiver for such data. The data is correlated and the data is reviewable in real time while the mill is in running.
WEAR SENSING LINER
A wear sensing liner for a comminution apparatus. The wear sensing liner comprising: a liner body comprising; a wear surface side defining a wear surface; and an opposed, operatively rear surface side; and at least one sensor carried by the liner body. The at least one sensor being carried by the liner body to sense wear of the wear surface side of the liner body. The at least one sensor being configured to degrade in response to wear of the wear surface side of the liner body and to output a signal representative of the wear of the wear surface side of the liner body.
