Shredder dust processing method and processing device for same
A shredder dust treatment method is provided wherein non-metal dust which is further pulverized into a small particle size in a pulverizing step S10 through a crushing step S1 of crushing wastes such as waste automobiles, waste home appliances, and waste office furniture into a predetermined size, an iron component separation and collection step S3 of separating and collecting an iron component, a non-ferrous component separation and collection step S4 of separating and collecting a non-ferrous component, a metal component separation and collection step S5 of sorting a metal component, wind power sorting steps S2, S6, S8, and S9 of sorting floating fibrous dust and a settled crushed material by wind power, and a shredding step S7 of shredding the settled crushed material into a predetermined size is separated into metal scraps such as copper, aluminum, and iron, fibrous dust, and particulate dust in a separating step S11.
Systems for separating copper from shredder residue
Systems and methods for separating materials and recovery of valuable copper from shredded end-of-life vehicles and appliances are disclosed. Shredded matter, or ASR, is sent through a series of sorters before reaching a system that separates out copper bits. The system utilizes a pair of conveyor belts; one for de-watering and removing most of the plastic and glass particles and a second below the first for separating the copper bits. The second conveyor belt has a belt with a particular tooth pattern and material softness, and is set at a slight uphill incline angle. Water is delivered from the top down the slope and the belt successfully transports mostly just copper up and over a top edge to a collection bin. A cascading series of pairs of conveyors may be used to ensure nearly complete recovery of the copper.
METHOD AND PLANT FOR AERAULIC SEPARATION
A method .sub.ES1 for the continuous aeraulic separation of particulate materials stemming from electronic scrap and made up of a mixture of particles which are heterogeneous in terms of both particle size and density, characterized in that it comprises the following successive steps: (a) grinding the particles (b) generating a gas flow carrying the ground particles, (c) carrying out a first aeraulic separation over said gas flow in order to separate the particles contained therein into a first fraction made up of the coarsest particles of various densities, and a second fraction made up of the finest particles, (d) carrying out a second aeraulic separation of said first fraction in order to separate the particles contained therein into a third fraction made up of the coarsest and densest particles and a fourth fraction made up of the coarsest and least dense particles, (e) reinjecting the third or the fourth fraction to the grinding input, and (f) recovering the second and the fourth fraction or the third fraction, as applicable, as output products.
Metal recovery system and method
A method and apparatus to reclaim metals from scrap material such as automobile shredder residue (ASR) that, after separating out light density components, separates out friable material such as rock and glass by crushing and screening operations to generate a high metal content product.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FOUR DIMENSIONALLY SEPARATING MATERIALS
This application discloses a separator for separating and recovering materials from a waste stream. The separator has a cyclone having a top section and a bottom section, an impeller within the cyclone, a media inlet for accepting a flow of media or a pulsating flow of the media operatively connected to the impeller in which media or fluid flows through the impeller into the separator; a first discharge passage for a collecting a light fraction, and a second discharge passage for collecting a heavy fraction.
PLANT AND PROCESS FOR THE RECOVERY OF WIRES FROM CAR FLUFF
A plant for the treatment of car fluff is disclosed having one or more magnetic iron separators, followed by one or more eddy current separators that receive the negative coming from the magnetic iron separators, followed by one or more inductive sensor-based recovery separators that receive the negative coming from the eddy current separators, followed by at least two inductive sensor-based polishing separators respectively calibrated for the separation of stainless steel and copper wires arranged for receiving the material separated by the inductive sensor-based recovery separators, an unravelling shredder also being arranged between the latter and the polishing separator(s) calibrated for the separation of copper wires.
Processing a waste stream by separating and recovering wire and other metal from processed recycled materials
Processing waste materials to recover valuable metals, such as copper, from the materials. Waste materials are further refined to concentrate the metallic material after the waste materials are initially processed. Processes include employing air separation and screening. Processes also include employing a dynamic sensor and a vacuum pressure separator to separate metals from other materials. A central processing facility may process metal concentrate from multiple concentration facilities.
System and method for separating materials using stirring motion, stratification, and vertical motion
A cyclonic separation and materials processing method and system is presented in which materials entry at one end and which is arranged so that the materials that enter will be given a tangential velocity component as they enter. Specific embodiments include a three-dimensional sorting system with the use of an outward centrifugal motion and up/down (or vertical) motion flow of water or other media, which can be thought of as “a three-dimensional separation”.
METAL RECOVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method and apparatus to reclaim metals from scrap material such as automobile shredder residue (ASR) that, after separating out light density components, separates out friable material such as rock and glass by crushing and screening operations to generate a high metal content product.
Recycled glass pozzolan for concrete
An apparatus for producing pozzolanic material from consumer waste includes a glass separator unit to remove glass material from the waste and a size reduction unit downstream the glass separator unit. The glass separator unit includes a tubular outer member and an inner helical member extending inwardly from the inner surface of the tubular outer member and defining an open central bore. The tubular outer member and the open central bore define respective coaxial longitudinal axes that are disposed at an angle relative to a horizontal reference plane, with the inlet higher than the outlet. Non-glass/non-ceramic material is output through the open outlet end of tubular outer member utilizing a flow of water. The glass/ceramic material is output to the size reduction unit through the open inlet end of the tubular outer member utilizing the rotating inner helical member of the glass separator unit.
