SORTING SYSTEM
A waste sorting system (1) comprising a tank (S) for collecting recyclable material (RM) and a sorting unit (U) comprising a first sorting station (10) connected to the tank (S) through a transport device (12) of the recyclable material and a first sorting basin (14) containing a first liquid solution (L1) of given density to separate, according to Archimedes' principle, the recyclable material (RM) into a first material phase (F1) of first selection and a second material phase (F2) of first submersion; the first sorting basin (14) is delimited at the bottom by a first lower collection portion (140), the sorting unit (U) comprising first scraper means (16) associated with the first sorting basin (14) for collecting the first phase (F1) from a free surface of the first liquid solution (L1) and first wash means (18) of this first phase (F1); the first lower collection portion (140) being passed through by a first conveyor (11).
Method and apparatus for washing sheets of plastic material
A method and apparatus for washing sheets of plastic material originating from industrial and agricultural waste, for subsequent reuse thereof as a raw material. The sheets of plastic material, precut into soiled pieces of large dimensions, and a water flow are supplied to a washing tank containing a water bath; a screw stirrer generates intense stirring of the water bath and recirculation, inside the tank, of the soiled plastic pieces that causes the contaminating material to be detached and separated by sedimentation from the plastic pieces. The cleaned pieces of plastic material of large dimensions, devoid of contaminant, which float in the water bath are removed by dragging, in a floating condition, along a discharging channel by the combined action of a dragging device and of a water flow that exits the washing tank; the dragging device, consisting of an endless belt, extends from one side of the washing tank along the discharging channel, supported in a freely tiltable manner.

SEPARATOR APPARATUS AND METHOD
A separator for separating sand from organic matter comprises a first compartment (11) for receiving and separating a mixture of sand, organic matter and liquid, a plurality of liquid inlets (29) in a bottom region of the first compartment (11) for introducing liquid into the bottom region of the first compartment and generating an upward liquid flow in the first compartment, means (47) for removing organic matter from the top of the mixture in the first compartment (11), an outlet in an upper region of the first compartment (11) for the discharge of organic matter and liquid, and an outlet (9) in a lower region of the first compartment for the discharge of sand and liquid.
